Was a month ago now but a weeping $7 mechatronic connector O-ring required my whole DCT box to be removed in order to get to it....i guess the plus side is the gearbox got fully serviced once again so is very healthy.

Awesome thanks! will order one tonight.

That's great, where'd you get that storage tray? I'm wanting to try retrofit a wireless charging pad into one

Whoa 20k worth of work....Keen to hear what needed doing

Redin through their website, it seems like they have quite a bit of experience in the industry. Might give them a go too for the golf -
Haha I'm actually contemplating changing it up to either piano black or the carbon trim. Got too used to it over the last few years

Installed F series paddle shifters, what a difference in look and feel. Thanks @Badical for the idea and links!

Changed my mind for the near future, enjoy it way too much. Just going to make it faster now.

Installed a BMS 'hot air' intake ? Actually really surprised at the improvement in throttle response. Huge difference. Sounds pretty good too

Pretty sure active steering was an option the original buyer had to tick when ordering. Great looking car! must be ridiculously fun with the manual

Used to use the Subaru upper engine cleaner on a lot of my older cars. Worked a treat, wasn't too badly priced from Winger Subaru from memory. -
Well that's just bizzare!

I wonder if the newer 135i paddles are a direct swap with yours.. I'll be upgrading to f80 paddles shortly so might be an option for you?
-
Looks like a great score, should be heaps of fun. That looks like it has the standard hydraulic steering rather than active though?
-
Oh man sorry to hear.. Really hope it all works out for you. If you do decide to part out some of the performance parts however... Let me know ?
-
Tell me more about this paddle swap, are the F series paddles a direct swap? Looks great, would love to do the same with mine

This new Supra has really blown lots of expectations from what I've seen online lately

Yup can recommend Scott too, uses proper gear

I've had literally 0 issues in almost 3 years of ownership other than the weeping sump which was fixed with a full trans service. It was a good idea to do anyway. Most reliable car I've owned which I really didn't expect when purchasing, coming from a long history of owning performance Japs especially. I considered the f20 too but just prefer the shape of the e82 more. In the end the DCT was the deciding factor for me after a test drive.
-
Yep that would make it an absolute mission. Fingers crossed it's just the sump!

Just got back from a 2 month trip around Europe. Highlight was certainly the south of France. Rented a car and drove along the coast up to Monaco. What an experience, highly highly recommend it. The Amalfi coast was cool too just a bit harder to get around.
