  1. Have 6 wheels and tyres up for grabs. A full set of wheels like in the first pic, 2 of the wheels have wof ok tyres and 2 have camber wear. I have another 2 bottle cap style wheels with wof ok tyres. I need to keep 1 of the wheels as a spare so any 5 are available picked up in Herne Bay for $50. All tyres are 205/50/15 size.
  2. They're more a 4 seater sedan. Another one up on tm. An ex forum members car. Nice in Anthracite.
  3. A lot of performance European and American cars sold in Japan are LHD.
  4. For the coin if i was in the market and given it appears to be an enthusiast owner i'd expect a preventive maintenance history vs an as needed maintenance history.
  5. I've not seen the 550i headers but they may be a choking point. A remap in conjunction with well designed headers will probably make a noticeable difference. Then again so would just upgrading to the v10
  6. Had a similar issue in my e36. After about 20 mins of running weird sh*t like you describe started happening. Turned the car off, went to restart, no joy new battery was dead. Recharged the batt and checked the battery terminals after a quick 10 min drive and they were getting less than 12volts, Getting just under 14volts when car is first started however. New (to the car) alternator installed and I get just over 14volts at the terminals even after a long drive.
  7. Congrats Ray, another s62 powered gem to join the stable of M.
  8. Water, brush, mf towels and lots of patience ?
  9. Awesome car! When you sell though, good luck living in an e39 M5
  10. If it's mechanically above average, then absolutely.
  11. That's awfully healthy. Isn't a good stock b28 140ish kw at the flywheel?
  12. I think it was 20k Went and had a nosey at it a couple of weeks ago at their yard. Paint looks nice, boot doesn't close (broken spring in the latch) Interior has had a quick touch up to hide the wear. Wheels repainted and the bank 2 vanos unit has been replaced. Didn't drive it but assuming it's ok a wee bit of tlc would turn this in to a minter.
  13. Road trip up to Parua Bay for New Years
  14. Nicely done! Another e39 M5 getting some restoration love.
  15. Oops. Oh well, even monkeys fall from trees.
  16. Truck wash. Was a waste of time, didn't move the caked on oil much.
  17. They're red because we all know it's a scientifically proven fact that this colour is the fastest. Probably why the waterpump died because the pulleys spin faster than they're supposed to? Will see how things go after a new waterpump, luckily they're the same between M50 and M52 so when we eventually get an M52b25 engine we can swap it over.
  18. Needed a few things for a wof. -inner tie rod ball joint -front brake hoses -front tyres So after getting all that work done, getting a wof and an alignment it overheated on the way home. It cooked for about 20mins all the way home. Couldn't find any obvious leaks aside from the radiator cap. I bled the cooling system about 7 times using all the techniques posted on various forums. No joy, but this evening I learned that the waterpump wasn't new. The joys of $400 e36 cars.. Wof'd Wheel Alignment The reward at the end of an early Saturday morning The reason
  19. 4G93 was the baby brother to the 4G63. Liked to throw a leg out with above 'mild' tuning. The 4g92 was the NA Honda B16a rival, the B16a which was released in 89' had an output of 99hp/litre. (Sorry Ron)
  20. There are plenty of inherently flawed designs in the automotive industry Ronald. No one really gives a sh*t about one which only affects cold-start emissions. If this issue did affect the engine in terms of engine performance then it would be a different story.
