  1. Wait is that even an IS? I thought they had all the M gear bar the drivetrain?
  2. Got excited. Opened link (which takes like 5 mins, yay government network!!) That color...
  3. Well if it pops back up and any of you see it please let me know. If successful you can drive it while I'm out of the country haha.
  4. Looks like it is gone. Did it sell? If relisted can someone post it up. Trademe sucks so bad from the US. Even though it is another poverty pack E46 (other than Msport with wheels) it looks great.
  5. The NZ new and low KM's did peak my interest. But then I ran it through the decoder. Other than being an Msport it is virtually a poverty pack. Typical of NZ new cars. Bugger all options.
  6. These are not a good looking car in the flesh. And one off or not. Those wheels are terrible and give it a nice 1999 wheel trend look.
  7. I have seen E60's here for sale with 300,000+ miles. Petrol though.
  8. I thought about getting one here in the US when I first got here. But as you said there are many rough ones that need time and money. The ones I thought were average to good were double the price. The prices are all over the place at the moment. Especially on the East coast. Ended up with a cheap E46 to runabout in.
  9. Doesn't look too bad. Hasn't even reached $1000 yet. Manual box is still worth a bit. Might have a large case LSD too. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1755366634.htm
  10. We should all go in and buy this. Then share it around to try and get her to 1,000,000kms.
  11. It's my old car. Sold it a few years back. Owned it for 6 years and Shelly owned it before me for about 7 years. Those are miles. And yup it has done more than that. Clusters fail on these all the time. Wheels are BBS. Motor is original but wasn't the best. It did have some rust that was taken out over the years. But an area of concern was the right hand drive sill at the rear. Diff was rebuilt about a year before I sold it too. It would need some love before I paid $15K. But I have already owned it. I would say with some love it would be a great example.
  12. Woh I just saw this. That part is only around $5-$20 from most NZ wreckers. 50GBP is laughable.
  13. Good to hear. Yeah AJ's E30 was great. He used the build to teach his workers.
  14. AJ @ Pitstop in Albany will be happy to do all that if you can get it out there. Close friend of mine. Has done a lot of work for Bimmersporters over the years. He can also organize to have the Driveshaft built either by ADL or Driveline. Saves you running around. Genuine car guy too. He loves/hates E30's. He still misses his 1UZ powered E30 he built.

    Know Your Car!

My E34 has a good Crunch Stick. Especially into 3rd at the red line.
  16. Quite literally rolled bowled and assholed.
  17. Is that when you go and play Frisbee at lunch time?

    Quick rant thread.

I love their BS excuse that their camera's can't read the non official font. 110% bullshit. The system can pretty much read anything. All they are doing is protecting a monopoly they have a contract with.
  19. This post lead me to spot another one. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1747390051.htm Dec 1999 323ci Coupe NZ NEW * appreciating E46 model Appreciating huh. Not the 323 sorry.
  20. Haha wow. Though this day in age there is bound to be some muppet out there who will pay that.
  21. Oh god. It is very basic. Be very very sure it works. Mine wouldn't turn off a couple of times.
  22. Hmm yeah, whom's cert standards haha. This could be easy. Or really damn expensive. Does the price reflect the quality? Or does he just need a quick sale.
  23. Hard to tell with near zero information. From what I can see from the pics all the parts are cheap stuff. I would want to know what has been done to the engine to support the turbo. That stock radiator doesn't give me confidence. Also if it is certified or not. Doesn't mention it and that is a pretty important part.

    Quick rant thread.

Would you like to swap. Currently around 85% humidity. And will be around 35deg C today. With a lovely feels like temp of 41deg C. Breathing outside is a chore let alone any outdoor activity. Pretty much the entire city is hiding indoors. The air is thick and there is no breeze. I can't even brag about the embassy pool which you all pay for. It is like a warm bath.
