  1. i do wonder, when the cats were removed, wouldnt they have had to weld to the dual wall pipe that was left on the car to fit the new pipe? Surely they could do it again?
  2. i love the smell of raw, unburnt fuel.... cats are for wusses.
  3. You suck, Facebook is blocked at work
  4. Wouldnt that sort of oil consumption ruin the cats anyway?
  5. i love the engineering on these things. Even the door hinges had to be grossly over engineered to handle the weight of the doors. Fantastic.
  6. Looking to lower my M3, so im looking to see if anyone has any decent lowering springs kicking around before i fork out to import some. Nothing too low, H&R Sport would be good. Also looking for rear bilsteins to match my fronts.
  7. they'll be 5 series offset i'd say, which is way too low for a 3 series without work.

    V10 Touring

damn thats a cool car. Power, comfort and practicality. Pity the dealer couldnt write a decent advert if his life depended on it.
  9. I hate you, you have all the bits i want for mine
  10. This is the best i could get google to do, hope it helps. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=29905633495592378266 Oh and this is the untranslated one, in case you want to have a crack at translating it yourself. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=47869955756611663595
  11. The markets crap, this seems like a good car at a reasonable price. Would make a perfect daily.
  12. Perfect. Thats an E30 i'd own. Just needs an S50b32 now.
  13. jeez, Did you know about the headgasket when you purchased it?

    245 or 231 ?

The vin decoder says 180kw http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/l791463.pdf
  15. Is there an o-ring on the bottom of the dip stick tube (where it goes into the part in the photo), could that have failed?
  16. Its been mentioned previously in this thread that the donor M5 was damaged. The M5 was probably a writeoff, so instead of just giving up and buying a Honda he purchased a 525i and transplanted everything from the M5 into this shell. Its a hell of a lot of work, it'd be a looms and all sort of transplant. Being certified indicates that hes at least done it the legal way which is good.
  17. Ah well, luck of the draw. Id still buy this M5, just wouldnt pay 20k for it.
  18. And to think, the silverstone M5 that was on trademe a while back for 22k took ages to sell, and that was genuine. I know this will get snapped up soon because its "cheap" due to lack of a better option, but imo i cant help but feel that its overpriced considering its not really a genuine M5.
  19. Yet everyone is happy to reshell an M3 O_o Because its an M5 in 525i pants.
  20. It appears to be a reshell, as all the options on the car match the options the original 525 came with (sunroof, no PDC etc).
  21. Care to elaborate? Do the M5 sumps not fit a non-M chassis? I do not that it was a 525 chassis which means it'd need all the crossmember and steering etc swapped too. I too wonder what the reasoning was for the transplant, and what the original chassis code was.

    E36 M3 3.0 CHIPSET

Where did you buy them from? Has anyone done before and after dyno runs (including A/F)?
  23. +1, there are a sh*t LOAD of Msport E39s in NZ. Surely it'd be easier to find something thats wrecking one? Otherwise, have you considered importing from Japan via someone like http://mlracing.co.nz ? Find the part on Yahoo Japan, contact them and see what they will charge to slam it into a container and bring it over.
