maximum win. Make sure you trace out any electrical wiring issues .. last thing you want is a fire and your hard work going up in smoke.

thats cool, will be a little rumbler

I think the only carbon buildup really you need to worried about is on your spark plugs.... maaaaybe valve seats but would have to run fairly rich for that to happen.

Thats an awesome build, and a man after my own heart with the attitude towards builds. Good work!

Anyways .... It is possible you may have a clogged journal somewhere however if the pressure lock valve has stopped functioning which is the valve used to hold oil pressure in the head oil journals. These leak and the n. A tail tail sign is first start you will hear a strong ticking sound of the lifters until oil flows to the head I would also look to pop the sump off and inspect the oil pump and pick ups as well.

Swapped out to bigger AP brakes, it was one of the first cars with a full tune and cage. Why they did it to a CSL im not sure but back then the e46 m3 & CSL was fairly common.

Rule of thumb, look at the curve of the wheel arch and the curve of the wheel. If its a wider curve on the wheel its too big and doesnt follow the natural lines of the car. You will get the roller skate look from it. e39s really are made for 18 inch but can look nice with the right 19s on them.

wow nice upgrades!

lucky walnut doesnt damage metal.

At worst its just a head gasket or at worst both. Get a leak down test done which will help determine if you've done any damage in the first instance. I hate to say it but low k m62tu motors are getting hard to come by so a repair might be the better option if it is indeed toasted. Also replace all radiator hoses with new OEM, and maybe get the expansion tank, digital thermostat and water pump inspected while youre at it. Good news is that the 540i operates at around 110c in normal operation and is a pressurised system (this is why the hoses blow, theyre not like other systems and dont take kindly to repairs that cant handle the higher pressures.) red is 124c. If you were only there for a quick second or two you might be ok. As long as you pulled over and killed the ignition. have been there twice myself with my old 540

Same designer that did the f20 I see. Whats they the excess of body panel in the front. not sure the flat panel look is to my tastes.

hmmm interesting .. thanks for letting us know. Ill take a look -
these are awesome haha ... I remember when the m5 was launched however for the skid scenes into the curb they used 540s

yeah the whole thing has gotten silly really. While I agree with the engineering aspects of LV some of it is engineers looking problems to solutions.

If the 335 is a daily then do it, if you getting an e9x to replace an e30 for a weekend car, I couldn't think of anything worse (no offense guys) I think you're right on the money price wise for a non motorsport car. an s5x in an e30 is what engine these cars needed and brings the chassis into another dimension. Hopefully it can stay in the bimmersport family.
