Some incredible cars this morning at Caffeine and Classics but this is the only one I took a picture of 😍

Yeah, will give it a nudge, must admit I’m a complete FCP fanboy but looks like a good value alternative.

Just discovered RockAuto now! Loads of brands of not heard of but some I have - guess they play at the lower end of the market but prices are great!

Funny - I initially came across him on an Nz Honda’s forum post

SGT performance in Henderson - Scott did a great job - was $500 but a lot of work given the overspray etc. picked him, seemed a good balance between the elite ($$$) detailers and the cheap Facebook amateurs.

Got a pro to do it, I believe it was a wash, clay, 1st heavy compound for scratches and overspray then 2nd finer polish - e.g ‘2 stage correction’

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Sammo replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
Yeah, so I’m defiantly keeping the E46 🤣 -
Finally got around to getting a proper paint correction done. Car had quite a few little scratches, lots of swirl marks and a lots of over overspray with water spotting in its time being passed from shop to shop to shop by the prick dealer with no-one seemingly taking any car. Anyway, its come up great, looks like a different colour and for once in its life is cleaner than the E46 🤣

I think they look fantastic - not a traditionally beautiful car maybe but absolutely unique and very dramatic. Love Woodcock road as well - need to go for a blast up South Head sometime.

Sad but true possibly

Great scene hahaha

Went for $11,900 - can only imagine what an Estoril Blue M3 is worth 😜

Installed adjustable sway bar end links and readjusted my short shifter throw and height. Then gave it a wash and wax to celebrate, looking like a rolling mirror. Went to Supermarket, come back to my car and some prick has thrown a half empty 2 litre coke bottle next it, splashing coke on one side. See a small group of teenagers not far away sitting on one of those big clothing recycling bins drinking coke - I take the bottle up to them and asked angrily if they had dropped their bottle - it become pretty clear who was the culprit so I barked a mini lecture and flicked the bottle up at him, fortunately scoring a direct hit in the face. Got home and the coke had beaded right off, thanks CarPro Elixer - hopefully the kids learnt a little lesson too.

Interesting, I quite like my Hankooks although I’m using V12 Evo 2s.

@KwS yeah, Ech2o was a game changer for me - so easy, and leaves a decent amount of waxy goodness as well. Works as a clay lube too - if you're into that. Pretty much converted me to the hole CarPro range which is consistently excellent.

Would ask the question here - loads of boosted M54s running 450plus WHP - mostly on a budget so doubt they are doing much more than reinforcing. https://www.facebook.com/groups/134785066905933/

Sorry to hear that man - hope you had a reasonable payout with your insurer at least.

Sounds good, but must be a huge amount of resource to develop and implement across a range of vehicles every few years... why not just outsource to a software company - license Carplay / Android auto and focus on mechanical engineering and designing beautiful cars. I guess it makes it easier to tie people into an upgrade path.

I would think it could be worth a go - very basic, but end of the day its a simple piece. I bought this one from Speedfactor, essentially because it was dual adjustable (although that meant I installed it about 8 bloody times adjusting it haha). https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/accessories/listing/3010812988?bof=LhaRnEJ1 I feel like its become sloppier really quickly though (2 months or less) but I didn't loctite the adjustment threads so will have a look and reinstall. I'm sure you are aware of the BM Speedshop NZ Made floor mounted ones that people seem to love but yeah, could be extremely notchy.

You prefer the Euro slim or the normal plates? I like these, wouldn't mind trying a Euro slim plate on the front at some point - maybe I will when I eventually paint the front bumper. Australia appear to have some options for very small plates - not 100% on the look though.

We bought 7 years ago - was so frustrating with no agent giving an expected price, range or otherwise...simply asking me what I thought... I don't f@ck!ng know mate - I've never bought a house before... With a hot market, not sure why people don't just do a private sale and hire an auctioneer (valuer and photographer if you like) and save $25K. We recently rented our place out and I'm doing it all myself - viewings, liaison, contracts - piece of cake.

Just saw this bad boy come up too, price is as high as I’ve seen for a 328i though. Would need a pretty impressive list of modifications and maintenance to list at $13k.

Car Play / Android Auto installed in F15 X5
Sammo replied to hugo_nz's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
I have an Android Headunit in the E46 (running wireless carplay ironically) but installed one of the Carplay / Android Auto devices that plug into the AMI port in our Audi A5 - I imagine they are very similar for BMW - just a box that plugs into the input and Canbus and uses the factory screen / controls etc. Its brilliant and a lot less work than changing out the whole screen (unless you want a bigger sharper touchscreen maybe)
