I used a ‘pass through’ 22m socket on mine, a spanner on the socket outer hex and an Allen/ hex socket through the middle on the strut with the torque wrench on it (if that makes any sense). should be able to find pass through sockets locally?

Not sure on basketweaves widths - 7-7.5? would going to 225/50 or something within a few % of rolling circumference be feasible?

$12k for an E36 328i... I would want it to be mint and mechanically fully sorted - he didn't seem to even know if the cooling system had been sorted - not the best indication from a M52 / M54 owner.
-
I think theres only about 40-50kg between a similar 36 and 46? I saw someone selling a ZF manual box alone the other day for $2K - days of cheap manual swaps are gone I think.

@adro Refurbed but in gunmetal?- saw on marketplace and remembered this thread.

Factory Clubsport spoiler is a little controversial - quite ‘aftermarket’ looking. this is a better angle.

Brilliant job mate! Makes me want to polish my piano black properly

It’s been up for ages, would be a sick car with a manual swap for sure, although not at the asking price. Pretty sure an Estoril Blue Auto Clubsport went for $10k last year (different car).

Welcome - badass looking garage lineup there - got any pics of the M3?

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Sammo replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
E34s are looking like good value to scratch the quad headlight boxy BMW itch too. Can’t imagine they are as fun to throw around a few twisties though. -
@SmackJackTheCrackerMan Looks fantastic! a lot of coats and sanding / clearcoat?
-
Some extremely impressive cars for sure!

Lil Car porn for you from the Brit and Euro show in Pakuranga today:

Damn, sounds rough - problem with E36 and it’s drift image I think, definitely hold out for the right one if the budget is there man 👍
-
@Ghost Chip you still looking? tat black one has had a price drop, and this is on Marketplace:
-
Surprised one of you hasn't accidentally bought this yet: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3048609115?bof=8CqcCMvr

Yeah, young lad owns it - number plate is now ‘Raspy’ 🤣

Nice - Ali Express has been heinous lately - got some wheel centre caps today which I ordered in Jan... Speaking of which, would love some of those floating BMW centres but not sure they would fit my nasty knock off wheels (60mm caps) 😢

@exextatic What diff bushes do you have to go with the solid subframe bushes? Going to do mine in a few months, had heard NVH from solid / poly Subframe bushes is minimal and helps limit movement but solid / poly diff bushes will introduce significant NVH... Need to see this beast again at another meet!

Not sure if you've seen this thread - this car is stunning, looks OEM. Not 100% but I think he may have had to modify OEM M3 Coupe gaurds. Also, Cliq Tuning have some, no idea on quality - imagine any third party solution will require a bit of fiddling though. https://cliqtuning.com/shop/bmw-e46-sedan-front-overfenders-m3-style/?c=72e1ba2726d6

Jeez, went from $8500 to $15,000 since I posted this
-
Quite curious to see how high this goes - over 300,000km, well used, does not seem too neglected for the kms but definitely in need for some TLC. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3044036194?bof=p4iKHilQ

Booked in at Autoalign for the 19th as I'll be changing my Tierods the weekend before. I am a bit of an alignment newb - any thoughts on special requests for toe etc? I wouldn't mind a bit sharper turn in but not really wanting to lose much motorway stability.
