So good - have a wireless carplay dongle for my E46 with its Android unit and installed a unit similar to this (plug in box to stock system) in my wife's A5 - really brings the cars up to date and wireless is great

Not to do with humidity / moisture and potentially oxidiesed wiring? Mine has come on a couple of times in winter for half a day and then goes away...

Depth or bracket? In my coupe I had to ensure I got pretty shallow 6.5" components / splits and a mounting adaptor to fit the front doors. Tweeters I butchered the factory ones (mount and speaker were all in one) to mount the new ones in their place. While I certainly don't have golden ears, I do enjoy decent sound but I think in a car there is just too much other noise and harsh surfaces to contend with to invest too much on top quality stuff. Decent front components, a 4 way amp and small sub is about as far as I would bother these days.

Yes, much easier to tyre kick on Trade Me and be far more confrontational than one would in person. In this particular case, it the sellers first reaction will have incited a little more prodding. A few valid questions can be asked on Trade Me but in general, a serious buyer (even a millennial!) is likely to make more direct contact via phone or text.

Removed rear quarter tint, up until this week had assumed it was a factory privacy glass and it bothered me (don’t like tint at all on older cars, especially with a nice interior to show off). Didn’t have to remove the window and both sides came out in one piece, good times!

Ugh, I swear every other time my car goes somewhere for something a few days later I notice a little scratch or something that wasn't there before....

The F10 535i loan car we had for a few weeks was a bit of a boat TBH - found it big, a bit wallowy and sterile. Excellent motorway mile muncher though. Being a tired non Msport won't have helped with floaty suspension and hardly any seat bolstering. I'm sure that drivetrain in an F20 would be completely different though and an Msport F10/11 would certainly be better (or M5 😍)

Perfect one car garage is a 964 911(sorry, I mean E46 M3) and pay just someone to deliver your fridge or pick up parents from the airport 🤣

Yeah had been on Facebook for a while before it went in TM. looks really good for an E36 sedan, manual, striking colour combo, decent buying I would have thought? would go decent with the M50 manifold and tune as well.
