  1. SHITTY?? It's a work of art mate
  2. My god, how he managed to burn the shed down with the car inside boggles the mind. Looks like it should be a pretty interesting car once its finished though.
  3. I concur. I usually copy the text and delete my message quickly. Paste it, make the correction and post again One can't stand being branded an editor of ones posts.
  4. Hahaha. First good one I've heard.
  5. I don't really see what you're trying to achieve, it sounds to me like it already sold? Will you try buy it off the current owner for a premium?
  6. Hehe, it's only logical, as long as the item isn't dripping with oil or grease! I hate working in garages, especially when they are cold and often not lit well.
  7. Heh that pic ! Don't worry, I've been planning to supercharge my engine for sometime, started some CAD ground work mid winter, your thread has motivated me to get back into it The design phase is the harder part, but it's helped having a engine head set in my room for such development purposes.
  8. I'd be intrigued to see how well they would go with such extra stress.
  9. The positivie displacement charger is not only cheaper than a centrifugal unit they're also better, boost through the lower rpm range, more air volume per revolution and a much better noise. The old M112 Jag ones are quite cool setup, but do require a bit of thought to use on another engine. I thought about using one on a 1UZ-FE but have been focusing elsewhere for the meantime. Did this guy do much to strengthen the M62 for a supercharger setup 10 PSI seems like a lot on one of those.
  10. I don't follow? If you look the tyre width is actually the right size for that rim. They're not stretched inwards or bowing outwards.
  11. Another over enthusiastic M3 driver
  12. Sometimes this kind of thing is the lord punishing those for buying cars like X1s, X3s, E90 320i, 120i and the like that are known to be cheaper, below par compared to a 'proper' BMW of the past. I know a guy that asked me for advise on a new car, went against what I said and bought a 320i, 6 months later he has various problems the dealership don't want to know about.
  13. Wow... it's not looking as mint as when you had it. Always the way - very sad!

    MissBM V.2

Yeah I guess not. Any low volume vehicle is a standard car modified enough to require a low volume certification plate. EG, my old E36 with its engine conversion.

According to the LVVTA page "2.1(14) An overlay must not be applied to a lens fitted to a low volume vehicle if that overlay would reduce the mechanical and optical properties of the lamp below a safe tolerance." Furthermore..... "NOTE: Headlamps are the most important part of a low volume vehicle’s lighting system, as they affect the driver’s vision, the vehicle’s conspicuity, and oncoming motorists’ ability to see without being dazzled. As such, there can be no compromises in relation to headlamps on a low volume vehicle for any reason." Kinda seems like a lot of grey area on such a topic?
  16. This happens outside work when one gets run over every so often.
  17. You should embrace them and enjoy the gifts of nature.
  18. I dunno that price might be pretty fair.... I mean yes 750iLs are around But these L7s are very rare, 899 build in LHD/RHD for various markets. That said, due to such rarity they can often be forgotten and not appreciated in the market place. My even rarer active hydro suspension Soarer 'UZZ32' only had 873 built, but few know what they were so demand is also low, meaning low market prices 20+ years on.
  19. Or when that nosy cow Heather du Plessis-Allan illegally buys a .22 rifle
  20. Hah cheers, yeah I was up until May 2014, for 3 years. Ran it's course - I still have my licence on hold so could go back to it under a friend managing an office, but that is not my goal at the moment. The market uncertainties mean it's probably not going to the be the best of times either if it goes belly up!
  21. One day I'll have the wheels I want
