Dont worry about it man, im sure its fine. Did they bang out the front camber pins to get some adjustment? Probably not. They were still installed when i worked on the car. I had a look at the front struts and they appeared fine to my memory, the L and R letters were aligned with the slots. One of the side of has a stupid BMW sticker plastered over the strut label with the L\R alignment marks, but you can still just see it. Maybe the other side was mixed up but you can have to look yourself to confirm or i can check it again if you like, maybe they are wrong about them being out of rotation, wouldn't surprise me. Yeah please post the alignment sheet
  2. Gets you a broken fog light though Seems like a car that wouldn't be that great for anything besides one wheel peelers.
  3. Sounds about right. According to E30 owners manual 1275kg - 2 door - 325is - 1290kg 1290kg - 4 door 1355kg - Vert Ready to go with full tank of fuel and fluids, assuming no driver.
  4. Id recommend Spareto.com over FCP. Whilst they dont have the genuine specific parts selection (just more common wear items ie suspension, engine parts etc) they are usually way cheaper with EUR\NZD and more reliable freight (Spareto DHL vs FCP who dont actually specify anymore) Rockauto.com is another one that are similar to Spareto. They probably have the fastest processing times and usually the cheapest shipping via Fedex (seen as low as $25 NZD). They collect GST but this is can be offset with cheap shipping depending on the item. If you are buying lots of parts id recommend pricing it and ordering from multiple sources as it usually ends up cheaper. There is some big variation in part prices for specially for genuine only BMW parts ie Schmeidmann vs FCP
  5. Helps for when you do the rear subframe eccentric adjusters too, less toe out to start with the better.
  6. Yeah way overpriced - sounds someone has done a conversion (maybe Getrag) thrown some headers on it and called it a day. I bet extensive service history doesn't amount to much, probably just repairs needed to keep it running and legal. I don't think any stock'ish non M E46 is worth more 20k in current market regardless of work done. (EDIT: Mine is valued at 18k independently)

    Quick rant thread.

Had a few similar experiences over the years, mostly with domestic NZ post. Can't really do much except wait for it to turn up one day. At least stuff actually going missing isn't common place.

Yep, msport has a straight tip which goes out rear of the msport bumper.
  9. Yeah also wonder how calculated the hole placement in regards to stiff\soft setting
  10. Good price on the bar given what aftermarket ones cost.

Probably a $10 strut mate dust boot. Last about long as those shitty stretchy rack boots.

You know your complete garbage when you gotta change your name
  13. Its a breather hole so its normal. It shouldn't really be turned upside down with oil in it.
  14. Because you want to actually drive the car, not sitting on the roadside looking at it whilst the tow truck comes.
  15. SRS specfic ive used an old Hanntech P1? and Carsoft 6.5 for my '95 E38. I think ive seen @NZ00Z3 mentioned that some a Foxwell scanner can do it?, he can confirm. Im sure there's more but as you hint with many scan tools its hard verify what works with what systems unless you buy it or someone has tried it. Im assuming its how the adapter is wired is many cases.
  16. Lots of aftermarket scan tools that will do most ADS systems with the adapter.

Yeah mostly rubbish stock these days
  18. It doesnt have a 16 pin. BMW only starting using them at some point '99 or ''00 iirc for euro models. Adaptor may or may not work depending on the scan tool being used.

Probably by design to make people hang up. Put it on speaker, decrease to volume so you can barely hear the verbal diarrhea, then it goes silent you good to go.

Guy wrecking one or two on fb marketplace also. He's in in Cambridge https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/865003874429258/?hoisted=false&ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A200565c2-efb5-4ba7-9dee-0fcfeccc58ed
  21. Turners shipping prices were terrible 10 years ago and still are. Don't know why would anyone use them for stuff you can get cheaper elsewhere and just as fast elsewhere.

No one wrecking any on tm, facebook etc? I guess try Nick Weitz tomorrow but yeah Auckland will have plenty.

Yeah hopefully someone has something available locally
  24. One expensive sewing machine. 22k doesn't get you the front lip option either.
  25. That comes down to the experience\skill of the person doing that side of the conversion. From my understanding rev hang can be eliminated by changing deceleration ignition timing values. I don't why MS41 seems to have an issue over the later MS43, they seem to operate the same auto\manual switch over when coding, clearing adaptions and aligning EWS, maybe some conversions arent doing this?
