ZHP gear knobs are sweet, i got them on both my cars now.

Added AUX thru CD changer on the E39, sounds decent for a stock system and gotta be better than those tape convertors.

Ran a clay bar over the E39 this arvo. Does an amazing job and makes it so much easier to buff/clean!

Wrapped all the ugly wood wit 3m brushed aluminum. Did the gear lever surround in place, will have to pull it out and redo. Rest came up a charm and looks great .

The Alpina E31!!

I was thinking that too.

Is there any performance benefit with those I wonder?

The short answer is yes... Wiki says this:

BMW tuner Alpina produced a special version of the 8 Series dubbed the B12. Two versions were produced, both taken from the standard production line.

B12 5.0 Coupe was based on the 850i, powered by the 5.0-liter M70 engine producing 350 bhp (261 kW; 355 PS), and available only with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

B12 5.7 Coupe was based on the 850CSi, with the 5.7-litre S70 engine producing 416 bhp (310 kW; 422 PS) with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

If it's the B12 5.7 it would be epic!!

Well done, mate. Wrapping is very labour intensive .. I need to re-do one piece and I just can't bring myself to do it again yet.

Andy, just read through your latest updates on the V12 E34..... all i have to say is that i love your car!

Really makes me want to buy an E34 touring, but its hard to settle for a boring grey/green one when yours is such a delish colour.

Ahhhh! first subframe cracks appearing, Left side rear mount.

Oh well, a good excuse to NOT drive it for a change, get it repaired when I do the exhaust system welding. It will also give me the chance to swap in the upgraded 328i subframe assembly & suspension
