Set some bombs off last night, Facebook goes crazy asking what the explosions were in Hamilton last night lol... Seems they were heard across town.

The only way my M325i will get anywhere near 6L/100kms is if I am freewheeling down a cliff face.... anything less than 12L/100kms and you are a Granny!

So I picked up this yesterday She is a 1987 325I Baur. South African import (just like me ) with a stuffed transmission (only goes in reverse,no forward drive gears) appears to be a genuine mtech 1 also. I will be doing a manual conversion as soon as I locate a manual box. I have purchased all the other bits ( pedal box, flywheel, etc). I have had the dream of owning one since I was really young as my cousin had one back home with full 325is running gear. I am super excited about this baby. She needs quite a bit of work ( indicators dont work but hazards do, rust spots on doors and obviously a stuffed gearbox) but for 3 k I couldn't say no. I will have more pics of her soon. Also I cannot figure out why the front removable part of the roof won't come off so if anyone has any tips I am all ears. She came on these BBS rims which seem to be genuine but not really my style (17's). Thoughts are welcomed oh and as with all e30s the speedo doesnt work haha so parts guys out there if yall can help I would appreciate it

Ponsonby on a nice sunday is very very funny driving the e30 through. They all hipster gaze the e30 then you just scare them off with a parp on the accelerator back on topic, am rage about this.. can the general populous stop killing techwans .... seriously, theyre pretty rare these days in good order. HellBM can only restore a few at a time .. and Ray doesnt do it for a profit. Starting to think there needs to be a BMW e30 motorsport licience / practical exam needed before youre allowed to purchase.

If you have to ask then there's no point explaining. And for the kill joys that don't understand, yes the cops did attend.

As a 76kg white male from Beachaven, gang member related rants could have there own thread.

Nope I wholeheartedly disagree - you tell me why they still need to be connected to the gang then if life is so good?

looks cool , just make sure you get the correct gearbox and flywheel with the provision for the 2 crank sensors mounted in the bellhousing and the pickup reference point on the flywheel. otherwise it wont run , or you will need to convert the engine loom , front crank pully ,sensors and ecu etc to later facelift type

That looks great! Love the wheels too.

thats really impressive! goes to show that long distance driving it can achieve really good fuel economy! as a comparison though, i did a 800-850km trip on a full tank in my 2002 e46 330i msport sedan a few years back. did a whole trip to rotorua from auckland and back!

Jesus you really took this all to heart didn't you. I thought you would have caught on that I didn't really care when I accepted your challenge to a race that you never gave... There was even a winky face in there too.

Bump - price adjusted to entice someone to pick these up tomorrow. If not picked up tomorrow, they will go in storage.

Yep about that, and than I know I will have a good motor that will go for many km. Yep Paul has given a thicker headgasket. Way? watt is the fun in that, and if you get a second hand engine, you don't know watt you get, it can blow after a month to. And the car is way I bought it for, it is still registered and there will be all fibre glass panels for.

Got touring 2.0 delivered this morning, gave her the once over, then pulled the broken auto out and associated bits. Found my flywheel doesn't match the pressure plate, so on the hunt. Also, Gaz the reason why the replacement box didn't work was from miss fitting the torque converter and snapping the oil pump drive keys. Don't worry, we've all been there

I'd like to add that e30s are very popular at the moment with the young hipster crowd using mum and dads money to buy their first car. Old tech plus minimal driving experience equals accidents. This makes me sound like an old coot but my first car at 15 was a FWD Mazda 323 with an asthmatic single carb 1.5 that couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. I too would've ended up backwards through a fence if I owned a 170hp RWD 6 cylinder with no safety features and a tendency to oversteer.

Watching with interest - I have 4 children aged 6 and under and they have no respect, don't help out around the house and not only use the washing machine whenever they want ... but they expect my wife or I to do it. They also don't pay their rent or share of utilities, and expect food to be included.

Fabricators have now finished. Big thanks to the great workmanship of Colin @ Quest Fabrication. Next step will be with the panel/paint shop for shaping of the doors/petrol flap and painting. Nice to be able to fit the Work wheels and/or OEM 18`s/19`s

People who write 'following' on facebook posts. I don't want to have to sift through all those to find out the answer to my question. Use the 'turn on notifications' option. You are wasting e-paper.

The quality of driving by parents picking their kids up from school. The only thing on their mind is getting the best parking spot so their kid doesn't have to walk 1km to home. The Oteha Valley to Constellation Drive stretch of motorway. They spent all this time building what I thought was a new lane to smooth out the 2 lane cluster f**k. It was a bus lane. Which I have yet to see a bus use. There is now also no shoulder now. So if someone breaks down.. It is even bad on the weekend. NEVER put a salesperson in charge of a company. The direction of the company changes for every bloody sales opportunity..

Hello Everybody I want to sell my 18s wheels. They are currently on my BMW E90 2008 and I think they will fit all the 3 series. They are BBS Replica about 4 months old and the tyres are 4 months old and still has between 60-70% tread I would say. 98% new condition 1 or 2 little marks not noticeable you wont find them unless you look for them closely. I may consider to swap them for 17s or light weight 18s with no curbing. Prefer silver or gold or will consider any depends on the condition. I am in Morrinsville area so if you can come over for swap would be nice. Tyres are Neuton 225/40/R18 will accept anything over $950

Installed Agency Power exhaust, renamed to `HELLBM` and swapped out MSS54 DME for a MSS54HP DME. Latest DME includes top speed limiter removed, sport mode on at startup, oil temp warmup lights, shift lights, rev. limiter increase, aux. air pump delete, faster throttle response.Add to that the subtle `burble and pops at high rev. changes. Huge thanks to Tom for his very clever handiwork with these DME`s. Brilliant driving experience.
