5 pointsSome serious things to be done before the next race season, but as expected I am too busy mucking about with silly stuff that won't make me go any faster, but that I think looks pretty cool... Spoiler alert!!

3 pointsAs a 78kg Arab from beachaven, the gang members are the least of my worries. They worry about them selves, are generally pretty tame unless you are from an opposing gang, and are pretty sweet to have a bit of a yarn with. I once had a tangi (I'm not sure what that is to be honest) next door and the hells Angels neighbours were some of the most genuine people I have ever spoken to. The real gangs aren't the problem, It is the wanky teens that dress in red and blue and mug old woman and spray paint fences that need to be culled. When was the last time you saw a patched member of a gang tagging on someone's fence? There are far more criminals that wear a blue shirt and tie every day.

3 pointsMust be something in the water in Whangarei, everyone there seems overly touchy!

2 pointsDoing an enforced engine swap in my own shed with no time pressures. Getting my first E30 (manual too!) to tool about in which the aforementioned is completed. Watching my toddler grow into a little boy while having fun doing boy stuff. Watching my better halfs baby bump get (much!!) bigger. Having a home and a job that I can support all of the above with. Getting the all clear from the specialists just tops it off!

1 pointJust took the m on a 650km round trip to New Plymouth from Wellington on a tank of gas...that's a pretty damn fine 33mpg for 105-110km/hr on the open road.
-
1 pointProbably a longshot but is there anyone who would be willing to swap their e30 Getrag 260 pfl manual gearbox for my facelift getrag 260 box. The pfl ones have the holes in the bellhousing for where the crank sensor and reference sensor fit. I could very well machine the holes in my gearbox but if theres someone willing to swap there pfl one for my fl one which is out of a uk 325is from what I know then let me know. Here are pics below to show what I mean

1 pointthe master cylinder bolts onto the pedal box, then you need to get fluid to it somehow.. i guess there is no reason you couldnt run it off the brake reservoir, the nipple on the brake reservoir is there even on RHD cars... just not the way BMW did it on the RHD cars. Edit: although the line over to the clutch master would be higher than the reservoir, so will be bitch to get the air out when bleeding, thats the only road block i can think of.....
-
1 pointProbably also easier to make the lines yourself, can't imagine the fittings would be too hard to find. Hell, E36 ones probably use the same thread pitch and diameter!
-
1 pointCan't help with parts but am interested in the flywheel if it's an M20 single mass type Consider it fundraising for the correct flywheel!
-
1 pointE36TI had an E30 rear end, coupes & sedans are different. Would be simpler to just update whats on there The series cars handle & stop well - updated shocks/springs, stock brakes but performance pads, replace all suspension bushes

1 pointCame round the corner, two dogs chasing each other and no where to go........dog ran off so not too bad.

1 pointI use a 3.15 in my 328i about 2650rpm at 100km/h in 5th but I think I would change it if I could be bothered to a 3.07 about 2550rpm at 100km/h in 5th

1 pointFunny, I was 10yrs old when we went metric in NZ so I grew up with both, and for the most part - relate to both. Metric, being to base 10 is simpler/more logical though. 4x2 or 6x2 is still easier off the tongue than 100x50 or 150/50 Speed - both logical Distance - relate to both Measurement - relate to both Area - both but metric simpler Weight - metric Volume - both but metric much simpler Pressure - still PSI for me

1 pointIf you're refering to "Sunday" I think it was a good story about 2 men who where able to drag themselves out of the gang life. One a gang member who was able to make a positive change in his life and the other someone who was born into and raised in the gang enviroment and despite it was able to get an education and start a award winning bussiness. Not glamorous as you say but definitely something positive.

1 pointLol at this being a thread about a damaged E30 and somehow you two blokes turn it into an argument about fuel economy between two incomparable cars built in different decades.
-
1 pointcant help with the fly wheel but the cross memeber is available from BMW brand new about $20 or so, i had to get one for my manual swap in the cabby, incidentally, most of the manual conversion parts are still available, also the stuff you dont usually get like clutch switch, pedal stop, pads, etc

1 pointHey Y'all I've successfully located what I need thanks for everyone's help

1 pointPeople who write 'following' on facebook posts. I don't want to have to sift through all those to find out the answer to my question. Use the 'turn on notifications' option. You are wasting e-paper.

1 pointYou can find his home address via his plate at the post office (or at least you used to be able too). Drop round with a nicely typed letter pop it under the wiper on the vehicle that looks most like his wife's, if hes as much of an ass-hat at home as obviously is on the road his wife will be punishment enough! Works a treat my wife did it once then meet the wife a few years later through work almost felt sorry for the verbal bashing she gave him. As Michael said highlights how sh*t some peoples lives must be.

1 pointHaha! That shitty little "Get WIndows 10" icon on my taskbar keeps crashing... I suspect it may be foreshadowing impending doom if I tried to upgrade.

1 pointI don't mind when they wreck new models. Hurts watching desirable vintage classics destroyed!
