Co-Piloting an E61 M5 Touring. 8 month old son fell asleep during the test experience... ... he NEVER goes to sleep in the car... I suggested to Mrs W that we get a fast, practical wagon

Home from the paint shop with Work wheels now fitting. Fitted the modified OEM M3 mirrors. Gave the interior an individual look with brushed aluminium trim with leather arm rests.

Parked them all in the shop and stared at them longingly wishing I had time to do work on the e39 and e30

In some cases both. My mate and I looked at a nearby open home while taking a break from building the deck on his house yesterday. Old white neighbor of open home gave us the 'yellow peril' speech. I played dumb and let him dig his hole deeper and deeper until I informed him that my mate's wife was Asian. He then spluttered and stammered while we walked away.

Have any of you re-done your interior with Alcantara? I know the headlining and pillars are a common one but I'm talking the slightly more unusual areas to re-trim, I saw a e38 with the boot lining done and it looked amazing. Do any of you have a source for rolls of the stuff?

With such gear I'd avoid the cheaper non brands. The quality and longevity of such a unit makes it a waste of time IMO.

On Friday I took the E60 back to the panel shop after pulling the front bumper off for the third time...........also picked up the E38 after needing new alternator and putting in new rear shock mounts to "cure" squeak...........not cured. On Sat I fitted some replacement trim to the E38 thanks to Klugan for the parts. On Sunday went to use the M5 and battery is flat......jumped into e38 after fitting new boot stays also from Klugan. It pops open and stays open again! Now the shitty bit. Sitting in traffic and notice steam coming from under bonnet. Luckily only a k from home. Get home and hairline crack in expansion tank is pissing steam. Notice fan is not connected and is sitting loose in the shroud. Wonder if mechanic forgot to refit it. Grumpy. 3 BMs and all munted! Wait for everything to cool - refill tank and drive to mechanic. Leave car there and scooter home.........open beer. Will be an interesting discussion tomorrow.

There are two different types, one with mounting screws, one without, and they aren't interchangeable.

Put the M3s rear bumper on, no more towbar yay!!! Found a few issues with the 328 coupe could be fun. And fitted the new glove box and rest of interior on touring 2.0 and wired up the neutral/park safety switch so it'll start and a new lead to the reverse lights. And sorted a pressure plate and clutch! Cheers Greg

Sounds like my wife, ever since I showed her the ESP off, she loves luring JDMs in to the lights and smokes the sh*t up. Reckon it's a hoot

When selling the 850i I would regularly get over 70 watchers but not one would contact. Then again, I am guilty for putting things on the watchlist only to see what it goes for.

It seems the 740 is getting a bit of a make over. Did a bit more today replacing the cracked wood trim in the front doors and center console. Out with the old. In with the new. Pulled this out of the spare parts car. A bit scratched but still in better shape the the original. Sanded to 2000 grit then went looking for my small buffing wheel and couldn't find it so out with the brasso then a fine cutting compund and this was the result.
