2 pointsagreed, you should be able to pull a litte bit more dish in the front, also those tire sizes are wrong in the front, you can see the front wheel profile is larger than the front because they use a 245. should be a 235/35 for the front. This is mine on non m offsets.

2 pointsYou totally wimped out with a classified not a listing, how we all supposed to enjoy the inane commentary. E.g. I'd ask if you wanted to trade for a mint E30 ;-)

2 pointsMint photos. House market hasn't settled all that much..., sure you can't keep them both? Wish I had the spare coin, always wanted one of these, this is an amazing rare example!! Good luck with the sale mate, worth every cent.

2 pointsE30s are becoming an excellent investment car it seems. They just keep going up and up in value, so I'm hoping to get in the game soon Sent from my SM-N910U using Tapatalk

1 pointTime has come to sell one. I need to buy a house while this market is a bit more settled. Imported by Claytons in 03' .Ex SA press vehicle. 194km. Good tidy honest machine. 26k ono

1 pointRebuilt the driver side caliper today with new seals today with a mate. Turned out well and it was good to clean out and restore the caliper and top up with new brake fluid. Will do passenger side later once I get more time.

1 pointI was of the understanding screw on AFM should not be touched without co meter and is only there for factory idle mixture setting. Any fix you achieve by adjusting it is most likely a band-aid fix unless it has been messed with before? Most guaranteed way to eliminate intake leaks is smoke test. Does the idle raise when aircon is turned on? Fuel pressure? Injectors or c191 plug connections. AFM can be checked with multimeter also.

1 pointdont think anyone is disputing if the parts are real or not. Just when in the cars life cycle they were fitted.

1 pointif i do end up bringing my E38 up you should try the staggered 20s on it on your car they are exactly the style you just posted. would give you a really close idea what it would look like. although 20s on an E46 would be too big the centers are 18" with step up lips to 20"

1 pointBlocked cat can be a performance killer. What's the mileage on your Touring? I've also seen performance issues as a result of a tired fuel pump. No errors cos it's still working, and gentle driving is fine, but put your foot down and there's no more to be had.
-
1 pointMarino franchitti summed it up well. "You need all 3" what Amazing cars. And to see them all together is just WOW
-
1 pointStill trying to find why the touring is down on power. Scan had nothing, Compression test was all good, replaced pvc valve as there was a lot of sh*t in it and a lot of oil in the intake and blowing out the exhaust, stopped the smoking issue, but still no power improvement. Cleaned the throttle body, Ran some upper cylinder cleaner through it, cleared more sh*t out but still no power. Next step is vanos and check if the cat is blocked. Oh and when I was out test driving it the clutch line came out the master and put brake fluid everywhere. And when trying to take the retaining clip off it flew off under the carpet never to be seen again. Looks like it's cable ties to hold it in

1 pointLooking back now I regret selling it. Had some good suspension and was fairly tidy. Should've kept it lol Wait a few more years then it would be worth more.

1 pointYes please don't 'stance' it and ruin the handling, I cringe seeing a nice sports car that's had it's handling ruined because someone was too obsessed with making it look 'sick' BMWs are all about the handling!

1 pointUnfortunately I'm not THAT bold to put the cars worth of it in wheels hahah. Love the wheels though. Stock is 8, so running a lower offset with an 8.5 would give it most likely an ideal non rubbing situation. I'll have a look today. I'm not after 'stanced to the max' look. I need it to be able to boogie when it needs too and don't want to touch my guards or lose my handling too much in the process. +25 on the rear for 10 seems good. 22/11s is getting up with aggressive as and body prep needed.

1 pointThis is probably the last place to try and buy something for far less than it's market value. It's a bugger trying to bullshit a group of informed people. Some of us know this and don't bother trying. On the other hand there are some that try or should that be there are some that are trying.

1 pointtoo many variables that determines the price on e30s. your question is meaningless but if i had to answer. anywhere between $0-$20,000
-
1 pointAgree with Michael and Dion. Silver Rims and the Calipers blue would look very nice. The silver wheels stand out more where as the black sort of fades into the car. No detail as you said.
-
1 pointSilver are nice. Keeps the car looking fresh and clean Black is a dated trend IMO, if anything looks like you have lots of brake dust.
-
1 pointI once said never, I guess never say never?? When you don't get invited for test drives, just buy one LOL. What can you do when the wife says "yep this one" His and hers : )

1 pointNot "moot", but inaccurate. The NZ plate system is not (by any means including legislation) a "closed loop" system. It can't be, plates get stolen all the time. The reality is, and everybody knows it, if we could buy legit plates in NZ for the same costs as we can get excellent reproductions from overseas then we would buy them locally. When the cops publish statistics on the number of actual problems reproductions cause then we can have a meaningful discussions. Until then it's all moot.

1 pointSam from OCD here. $160 is a great price but I would be questioning the quality. In my eyes it all comes down to your expectation and budget. You might find that the level of quality you get for what you pay your mate is exactly what you are after. Theres a place in the market for every 'level' of cut and polishing and grooming. To give you an idea I can do a cut polish and wax in 5 hours and make a car look a lot better if I wanted to - but it's not my game. We recently corrected Martins E39 M5 (check project threads on bimmersport). It took approx 1 hour for initial wash down, 2 hours for clay barring and decontamination, 11 hours or so of cutting the paint, another 2 hours of refinement polishing and then probably another 2 hours for final wash down, sealant and wax. You wouldn't catch me spending almost 20 hours on a car and charging $160 . On top of that we use three different size machines to polish as many areas as possible, polishes from Germany, waxes from Korea etc etc... But in terms of cost our RRP for that service is $749 (including a full interior and exterior detailing). My advice would be to really have a good think about what your expectation is. Do you want to improve your car or do you want as close to a show car as possible? Also, if you do the show car route do you have the time, knowledge and resources to properly maintain that finish too? Sorry for the long post! Feel free to PM me if you have any more specific queries in regards to anything car care related

1 pointI've had mine for about three years and only got a warning for having them. The officer knew exactly where I had purchased them from (germanplates) and I didn't have to take them off because I told him I was running late for work (true story). Am prepared to cop the fine and demerits but will eventually get round to buying the proper ones. The thing that frustrated the heck out of me is it was an extra option when I purchased my personalised plates I think it was an extra $30-40, however I didn't really think too much about it at the time. Now if I want to get them re-made it will cost the $400 I think they're charging. Have had a speed camera ticket and been through the northern toll roads without any issue of their software reading the plates.

1 pointHi All, I'm new to forum so thanks in advance for any advice. I've been keeping an eye on TradeMe around price ranges for E36 M3's. Given different models i.e. 3.0l or 3.2l, more or less KM's, import or NZ new, and maitenance history etc, in general terms, would $14k - $17k represent the market for a car in good condition with reasonable kms? I've also looked at Jap import LHD E36 M3 on TradeMe since May 14 and wonder why not selling? Is left hand drive a major deal-killer? And what reflects a fair price difference for a LHD v RHD model, if both were similar specs? Many thanks Chris
