Beautiful Avus Blue E39 M5 for sale in Welly - $27K
m325i replied to TermiPeteNZ's topic in TradeMe discussions
I know someone who had one. Lucky to get 200km out of a tank if that concerns you. Melted brakes and tyres like butter. Edit to be clear ^ E60 M5. I love E39 M5 and think they are a good buy, but I'm just an internet fanboy...- 16 replies

My E36 Coupe Stolen Today from Downtown 'Secure' Carpark
m325i replied to eeee36's topic in General Discussion
How do you steal an e36 (with EWS)? -
-
Limited production number though...
-
What do you reckon a 1m with 150km is worth in 2022?
-
I had a 5 speed Cooper in England, was pretty fun. I've not driven the S though, wondered what they are like. Do they have LSD? What's the traction like? You have the best colour IMO.
-
Really kills me the image of a Holden in NZ and the fact we only get one LS model. Because otherwise it is a really appealing package. Yes I like heavy metal, black jeans, burnouts and West Auckland, but no one knows if I'm not in a Holden.

I saw (this car?) in Ponsonby on the OEM 19"s and thought it was the only white one I have ever seen. ^This is obviously why!

I've been looking into that Leatherique that everyone goes on about. (Something about leaving it in a hot car though makes me think summer may be better). Be keen to see some one else try it.... I have a leather dye that have used. It's basically like shoe polish. Temporary fix only for light cracking.

That sucks - what was the ODO at?

5 speed swap at the same time? May as well while it's there.

Bumping this for feedback.... Can anyone confirm if these SS lines are WOF acceptable? From the above sounds like they are, but I am no expert. Thanks.

This was incredible. Still discussing the pro's and 'cons' of each model. Somewhat surprisingly the M3 is probably what I would go after. But they are all so sick. Amazing line up.
-
Haven't seen the condition, but don't really get comments about this being over priced. Some people are all about the later MY, and the KMs are no higher than many others listed. Could be a good buy at mid $20s

How many kms per tank do you get in the e92? Seems counter-intuitive a giant truck gets such good millage, that's diesel I guess. Guess a baby will follow soon

Congrats!

It's not my method, search on here and you may find the thread. Essentially use melted LUX soap flakes and a cloth to clean the leather. It (temporarily) brings the leather back to that awesome matte finish. Fair enough with the tow bar, I feel you - maybe dip that black? Grills are cheap as chips though...
-
looks real good! I reckon that wheel is sweet. I wouldn't bother upgrading. You should refurb with the lux flakes method. I would remove the m badge, take off the tow bar and replace the grille with silver or gloss black.
-
I was seriously considering these wheels on a recent TM auction. I'm a fan. Is this a modified ride height?
-
There was another Jap auction grey one with the wrong mirrors and LHD, wonder what that sold for. Duh... they are visually superior. The rarity has clouded your judgement

I do 20-25km per year, not huge, but that is 100km in 4 years. Any premium I paid for 'low km' is melted away completely when you come to resell. I would rather have that money for maintenance. (Also have high KM cars in the past, I am not so scared of it. 350km e30, 250km e36, 140km e46, 110km 2010 S3)

Man remember the chaos on the early 2000s. Just wind up the boost with a valve controller, hit Quay St and see what happens.
