  1. Amazing work! More pics!
  2. Some very interesting points raised here. Especially the RUC which I was not considering. If you're buying a new (commuter) car now, electric seems the logical way. Base Tesla Model 3 seems like a great deal, and obviously why they are so popular. It's a real shame BMW's electric offering sucks. (The Audi's are very expensive but look awesome. The KIA looks great, as does the Ionic 5).
  3. Nice! - I've got one. Drive it a fair bit more than you though!
  4. One of the few red cars I'd own/drive!
  5. They are hilarious in the wet eh. Basically just sideways everywhere, in slow motion. Every round-a-bout, every intersection.
  6. Sick. This is the one to have! As an ex 300km e30 daily driver, I'd suggest replace every rubber hose. Clear front and side markers? I've heard the Mtech steering wheels are very expensive. Why not a period Momo/Sparco ? Will you be daily-ing? Look forward to the updates
  7. Anyone here twinning with a low carbon black M3 in Ponsonby?
  8. I retract my e46 vote! (not sure of 325/330 wagon values?) 130i msport in white with a sunroof. I almost bought one when they were low $20s. Bought a 120i instead. Massive regret, as I ended up taking a bath on a 120i and then an S3. Could have kept the 130i over that whole time and not been an Exxon Valdez simulator.
  9. Hold out for a facelift coupe or mtech 1. You'll regret any other choice.
  10. I don't know what's happening ITT.
  11. Source? https://consumer.licensys.co.nz/plate-vehicle-details $23.15
  12. Great work! You should get a fresh plate - they are like $30 or something.
  13. By "gearbox" in my mind I am thinking the actual gears, which I understand to be the same.
  14. They're not Yeah I know! Or an M2. I think you would ultimately regret either option, but when you've had it for so many years, the idea is tempting. On the other hand, that is the proof - that many years later and I know the buzz it still gives me... that's what people have woken up to.
  15. I think the vert's kept going for longer pre FL?

    Pedal set E46

The BMW Performance once are quite different. Don’t think there are Bmw ones that have///M on them. So no. the brake and clutch I bought separately. i just replaced mine with black ones from eBay. About $65 new

    Pedal set E46

$30 Shipped North Island / $35 South Island Note: the clutch and brake pedals are slip on style, not drill in.
  18. I would add I was cross shopping with an f30 wagon. They look cooler, but I struggled to find a good spec. Anyway, I assume you're not using this as a 'sports car' - it's a family/utility car. I think the X3 is actually more fun. It's still awesome to drive 7/10th, and the SUV height is novel and more fun I reckon. (Can't beat 'em, join 'em?). I keep asking Mrs what the fantasy upgrade is (Maccan, Ionic 5, Merc, SQ5 etc...) And she's just like 'new x3'. Which is not really that different. (unless CarPlay is an essential - which can be retrofitted). X3 35i is more (and can be) a mini X3 M more than the 335i /M3 in my opinion.
  19. I got the 30d - been bulletproof. Family has N55 version. Sounds great, sucks gas. Both are grunty, but I think I prefer the diesel. The LCI (and LCI wheels) are nicer, but the premium is not worth it IMO. Would buy again....
  20. Looks well done, sans a few details, (eg tail lights). Why can't widebody kits have a fuel door flush? Not surprised that's the price - pretty cool!
  21. I have a mint OEM sunglass tray that I took out 7 years ago to replace with cupholders. Are they worth money?
  22. Same. (Edit - Well the foam cannon spray type) The Koch Chemie protector wax is good. I also have liked the Fireball hydrophobic snow foam. I think they all must be pretty similar though.
