  1. Why does that gear stick look so chode like?
  2. Yeah contact @promo He will be able to do this for you no worries.
  3. Bimmergeeks is better. At least then you can use the adapter outside of their own software.
  4. Looking forward to getting my hoist. And no more chinesium stands or tools.
  5. Good series car. Rip all that junk off it and throw a cage in her.
  6. Anything from Bimmergeeks. Their stuff just works. You can use their software (extra cost) or they have some guides on how to use their gear with ISTA and INPA which can be found for free. They take a bit to learn whilst the bimmergeeks software is easy.
  7. It's one of those things that unless it is cheaper, the same price, or I am driving past. I wouldn't bother going out of my way to get. Car won't be tuned for it. And if it was you would need to live near by.
  8. My old man has had an E55 AMG since new. Still has it. Is a great car and probably one of the best towing vehicles on the road. But most of the E55's here are Jap imports that flooded in around 2008 to 2010. They were dirt cheap which put them into the hands of people who could not afford to maintain them. Be very careful what you buy. I also once argued that an E30 is superior to an MX5 in every way. However now they are far more expensive than an MX5... I think I would still have an E30 over one though.
  9. Permission was not immediately granted. However I am working on it.
  10. Oh I missed this. Have asked permission from wife to buy.

  13. Haha Stuff comment section. What a battleground.
  14. Spotted 3 E34's going over the hill to the Wairarapa yesterday. 1 x Silver and 2 x White. Not sure what variants.
  15. I would like to recommend an E30 M325i. You might just be able to fit one into your budget..... Hahaha sorry I couldn't help myself. I would say the E60 M5. You don't have to own it forever. Just have some fun for a year or so and move onto something new. If the prices stay silly any maintenance should be covered by the vehicles increase in value if kept tidy. The potential for incredible exhaust notes.

    BMW vs E10

Sometimes BP Taupo mixes their 98 with water. That was a great experience.
  17. I didn't drive that car. Was the wifes car. The tyres should have lasted longer than they did so it was quite unexpected (deteriorated quickly no doubt from towing a race car). As I said I didn't have time to check the car so took advantage of an offer for a pro to check it over. They failed to actually tell us what was wrong. I think there was a small coolant leak somewhere too. The WOF shop notified us of the bald tyres.

Having had cars tuned to their limit I have found fuel quality to be my biggest enemy. Car was turned on BP 98. BP let me down many times. Very apparent when you fill up on a long trip and the knock levels increase significantly. To the point where I had to turn off the boost controller to run less than have the pressure it was tuned for. Mobil I never had any issues with. However at the time so few Mobil's had 98. Most Gulls had 98 however. I never had any issues with them. I always stuck with them more than the others because they were always one of the last to put prices up. You can now pay at the pump (like America) which I love. No need to wait in a line while some old farmer writes out a bloody cheque. I did get angry at Gull during lockdown last year though. They switched their 98 to 95 and had only the smallest signs up to notify people.
  19. Was thinking about getting a new one. Someone's cat chewed on my one... Well I think/hope it was a cat.
  20. Ah yes I remember now. My one was better being a Tech 1. They were quite often in the same Sparky shop together.
  21. Could this be Mr Oxton's one? Was nearly identical to mine but better.
  22. Similar thing happened to me in Auckland years back. Took the 530d into North Shore BMW for a Winter Check up and they forgot to tell me all the things they had found wrong. Including bald rear tyres. I sent it in there because I didn't have time to check it myself. Anyway we randomly won a $300 voucher for BMW merch right after we complained.

Run Force 10 in all our cars. The 200sx was just tuned on it today. However I don't recommend leaving it in your car for 5 years while you live in another country. Issues occur.
