EDIABAS (INPA included) is factory only suit of tools used for module programming and testing. There are lots of clones and copied software floating around. All of which have gone through the butthole of the internet and back out the other side. Many configuration files that come with these have been butchered and setup incorrectly.

Just a side note: for MSS50 you dont need the o2 sensor for wide open throttle operation. I would just pop a bung/bolt into the boss in the exhaust on both sides for now an remove the other remaining sensor and tuck up the wiring. You will have slightly more fueling in the part load zones however it will be fine for racing. Its really only a concern if your worried about economy in the short term which I would say you wont be spending enough time in part load zones for it to even make a difference. Your long term fuel trims will need an adpation reset after you replace the sensors for the ECU to make proper effect of them as ever sensor is different.

The systems is very old now, it works ok but isnt the same as modern systems as far as usability goes. I think the last map update for the Carin system was 2008. -
Have sent Ollie a message and directed him towards this thread. I wouldnt suggest producing anything as its a company and trademark. He can sort out the site systems for merch purchase.

Hi guys, Unfortunately the for sale section is going to the dogs again as far as adherence to the basic rules. As of today onwards the moderators will be removing any thread that doesn't have the basic requirements for a for sale thread without warning. This applies to everyone including us mods/admins. If you find your thread gone in the for sale section, this will be why. I have updated the rules in the For Sale section here http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/20961-please-read-before-posting-an-item-for-sale/

e36 m3 are floating where as e46 330i are solid. There is a weight advantage with the e36 m3 discs which counts quite a bit on unsprung weight. while slightly larger the 330 ones have pretty much effect pad wear surface.

The best brakes for the money are e36 m3 with pagid pads. They put up with the long term abuse and stop amazingly. Also when you can grab some stainless lines and run motul 660 RBF dot 4 brake fluid. Then tag some second hand slicks with light weight 17inch wheels and youll get the times down very quickly. Most of Hampton is about braking confedence and turn in. Power obviously does help, but not as much as people think. All the time is in the corners. Time and time again I see big power cars screetching it up the straights only to loose it all in the corners and the slower better handling cars are back up there bum on every corner. The tracks good like that.

And a video of us doing one of the power runs after we reduced the fuelling to flatten out the AFR in the new modified groupN tune we have done. Need to maybe look at some more timing and intake cam mapping to smooth it out .. but the goal was to have a little bit more mid range power for the enduro but keep it safe. My new datalogger and knock detection software is running on the laptop in the background Need to really get this thing out of alpha.

When you find out your car isn't the model year you thought...
hybrid replied to Matth5's topic in TradeMe discussions
its still an 08 m3 ... not the best year for the model. -
I dont think this is a stancekid thing so to speak .. its a following copied from car trend in Japan called VIP. Its a show car thing, just like veilside and chromies in the 2000s

Love the whole thing ... Im a sucker for mesh + stepped lips. Very very well done. The cool thing is when you want a change you can just do something to the centres and boom new car.
-
Nah all of the nz motorsport (bespoke hood / roof liners etc) stuff and sports panels. You can't by them anymore new and there is next to no second hand stock around with out finding a capper to pull apart.

My wish of GT3 taking over the world saloon car scene is becoming a reality. Nice to see the richards family involved in this. enjoy

Becareful not to over tire for the weight of your car. EG alway having to get soft compound because your contact patch displaces too much weight and doesnt actually warm up the tire properly / get enough effective contact. In saying all of that, 10inch with e36 weights will be fine. Tires are costly however for the good stuff.
-
just make sure you get the shoulder shampher/side wall/profile right. What makes or breaks it is the tires and with the Work barrels you want it so you can see the rear cross-section of the outer lip. Looks killer. Say no to rim protector tires. I would even go as far to say as take on in to see what they look like to a trusted tire shop. Also a shop that has the right equipment so they dont scratch the wheels up. Lots of shops dont. At worst they should use a rim protector.

keep it, seriously .. you can drive all the cars in the world... but theyre still not an e30.
