I found the wheel cleaner very good. I think dragons breath is still slightly better though.

How much cheaper was the shipping this way than just shipping straight from FCP? I've found FCP's shipping costs not too bad.

I know Amazon wont ship internationally to Australia anymore after they passed the same law. So likely Amazon wont ship here either anymore.

Or just buy some big axle stands. You will use them many more times

I quite like it. It is overpriced though. -
Style 42? The wheel god AKA @qube will undoubtedly know.

The v8 is a 4.6 litre version of the m62.

Haha, I have also been blacklisted by the trader for simply and politely asking the brand. Looking pretty dodgy to me.

If you are intending on keeping the car long term, then some preventative maintenance wont hurt. The fuel filter is one of those such items. If you remove it, try blowing through it and see how blocked it is, and how dirty the fuel is that comes out.

Possibly - they do have a limited life. I would be diagnosing it properly before throwing money and parts at it though.

There are far more knowledgeable people than me on this board, but vacuum leak would be first guess. The rubber plugs at the back of the manifold tend to tear or sometimes completely fall off. Have you done a smoke test?

For cheaper than a high end exhaust system, you can put in the m54b30 engine which is 39 more hp, and 55 more nm of torque, and a much nicer torque curve. Buying a high end exhaust will just give you a single digit increase. If you don't want to do that, put on the m54b30 intake manifold, run a *proper* cold air intake, replace your vanos seals, reset the throttle adaptions (free) and that will give you more power than an exhaust and even cheaper again. Or you could change your diff ratio, or for more money go lsd.

Hey @qube, I've got four tyres for sale. They are 255/35/18 and brand new. Is $1000 for all four a fair price?
-
You wont get much more power from an exhaust on these engines. And it will be expensive for a minimal gain. If you do decide to do it though, and money is not too much of a barrier, buy a complete setup from a quality manufacturer like the ones the others have mentioned. Go catless, and use the same manufacturers headers too. But if you want more performance, you can get more power for less money.

He has four unanswered questions now lol

You saved the day again wheelgod.
-
What are you looking for in an exhaust? Is it mostly the noise, or the performance? If its just looks, you could just get a new backbox and tips.
-
The trick is to find an honest and capable mechanic. Some of the Taranaki guys might be able to give you recommendations in your area
-
If you diagnose incorrectly or the part you source fails prematurely you have no comeback. Its always better to have the person installing the parts to also supply the parts, then there is no excuse like 'it failed cause your part was no good' etc

Some additional opinions on Compression test and the state of the plugs
zero replied to LemonHunter's topic in Maintenance
Cylinder six is a bit low, and a bit far from the other cylinders, but I've seen worse. Plugs look fine to my untrained eye but replacing them wouldnt hurt.
