  1. I think it's just BMW NZ that tries to upsell the value of NZ New, for obvious reasons. Once the warranty and service plan is up, the ownership experience is no different to any other BMW.
  2. They're still advertised on the BMW NZ site. It's not on the car configurator though and I can't see a price elsewhere. Anyone looking to buy this would be wise to chat with a dealer first and weigh up ordering new vs this before making their choice. The M2 comp starts at $139 900 NZ. The CS will of course have a decent premium on top of this. Definitely awesome cars, and IMO a more appealing sports car than the new M3/4. Which are starting at around $170k (Competition model only).
  3. The shifter and trim piece around it are add-ons, but the rest of it is actually a standard trim option (and the most common one).

    BMW M5 CS

Pretty awesome ad. Why didn't they market the new M3/4 like this, instead of that motion-sickness inducing drug trip of a video they made...
  5. Guess I won't get much approval for admitting that I'd totally put that wing on an M4 or M2.... https://ind-distribution.com/products/bmw-m-performance-f82-m4-carbon-fiber-wing It's not a cheap piece! Although it doesn't really work on the sedan IMO. Not a fan of that M Performance lip and those CF splitters on the front bumper, although they seem popular in the American M3/4 forums. I like the M3/4 CS lip more. The trend of carbon fiber wrapped exhaust tips also confuses me. I'd go titanium tips, if I want going to spend the 13k or whatever that exhaust costs. Also from watching recordings of that M Performance exhaust.... the sound is not one everyone will like. It's very... metallic, not sure how else to describe it. I also think he's trying to add on the cost of those parts to the car's price... which just isn't going to work. Still a nice car, and you could make a bit of the cash back by selling off those parts. That wing is drilled into the bootlid though so you'd have to get that sealed back and repainted. That front lip is also drilled in although the drill holes are underneath so not really noticeable.
  6. The SSL certificate has expired this morning causing browser security warnings.
  7. I've put this up as an auction on Trademe. Can't keep her forever... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2957432415?bof=cJFiMvuu Starting price is 10k And just between me and you lot, I've set the reserve to 14k.
  8. Terms will be in the warranty document. You should have been given one when you bought the car, otherwise they should be able to send you a copy.
  9. If you pay with credit card you should also be able to do a chargeback via your bank. Personally I'd rather deal with my bank than Paypal. Say all you want about our banks, but I assure you big US financial institutions don't give two shits about customer service when things go wrong. If you pay via Paypal, using your credit card (not your Paypal balance, if you have any), you should still be protected by your bank.

    Stress. Anxiety.

Left my last job because of stress and the impact it had on my life. Was on call a lot - lots of long days and calls at random hours like 2am to fix urgent problems. Put up with this for years and noticed it killing my social life, making me tired all the time. Sure it paid enough to buy nice things but I never had time to enjoy those nice things! It was also a high pressure job where problems were urgent and had to be handled carefully and quickly. That company did a lot for me in terms of the experience and skills I gained but it had to come to an end. Found a new job with regular hours, no on-call because they actually have sufficient staff around the globe so nobody needs to work at night, and you're hardly left on your own with a major issue. Having more personal time and less stress is great, and I don't feel tired all the time because I can stop worrying about work as soon as I log off and nobody will call me when I'm sleeping! I've also learned that when it comes to managers who are refusing to take feedback or listen to your suggestions - it's best to let it go. In the end it reflects on them and the responsibility is on them. This caused me a fair bit of stress in my last job. In my new one, I'm just hanging back and letting them do what they want. I'll offer feedback, but I'm not going to care when they don't do what I suggest. Interesting comments in this thread RE managers. Some senior managers in my last job were extremely talented and skilled at their work, in the technical sense. But they seriously lacked people skills, couldn't resolve their disagreements between each other which meant staff below them suffered, and in some cases acted like bullies and cost the company good staff. Worst bit is - the CEO had the same issues. Brilliantly smart guy with zero empathy for people so he was totally blind to this issue. If you notice managers with poor people skills, I think it probably reflects the person at the top.
  11. Yeah that really wasn't worth importing to NZ... will be a tough sell here. American cars that aren't available in RHD I can understand... but nobody is going to be in the market for an LHD BMW lol.
  12. Link for convenience: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m3/listing/2934805919?bof=rnQFsX2r Low mileage and great condition in the pics, but even still higher priced than the never gen M3s/4s. Here's a more reasonably priced one: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m3/listing/2885900589?bof=rnQFsX2r Or you can take the owner of this supercharged example out of his misery by buying this one that has been listed for years: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m3/listing/2934838547?rsqid=08831641ee334b2f868b7112e7dc5c6f-002&bof=rnQFsX2r 😂 I don't know how long it's been there but definitely over a year, maybe two.
  13. Bummer service? Wrong website mate 😂 Kidding aside - BM Workshop in Botany was my go-to when I lived in the area. Good for general servicing stuff and also very helpful with the less conventional stuff (ie, installing aftermarket mods ect). Have also used their CBD branch and Bellars Motor Works a long time back, they were great too.
  14. Yeah you can get an F82 M4 with half that mileage for that money... dude needs to take a look at the market lol.
  15. "Note, 96,000 miles " So, why not just convert that to KM so your listing doesn't state "96000km".... 🤦‍♂️
  16. LOL come on, a few hundred more gets you my modified 335i https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/335i/listing/2842863904 More than double the power, and a dual clutch transmission... why would you buy a 320i at that price? 😂
  17. Nice, hopefully the last time you need to deal with that dealer haha.
  18. Disagree. Nothing wrong with asking a quick question. As a seller it shouldn't take you long to answer it. I'd prefer to answer quick questions there and cut down on unnecessary phone calls. Phone calls waste even more time and interrupt you at non-ideal times. Plus it can save you from repeat questions since the answers are visible to everyone. Never had any trouble with handling questions on my own listings. I only get a few, by not being a fool like the seller we're discussing here you won't get flooded with silly/confronting questions.
  19. Wow that seller is living in another world lol. So clueless yet so full of himself.
  20. Can't recall but I just stuck to BMWs recommendation (from the manual / door sticker) and that worked well on my 335i.
  21. Manual doesn't get you that kind of premium, or any premium at all. I think in reality, their rarity is matched by the small % of buyers who want a manual. My old manual E46 didn't exactly have a flood of manual enthusiasts after it, and it didn't fetch any more than the market price in the 6 months it took me to sell it. Not sure about now but when shopping for E9x 330is, 335is, and M3s a while back, I didn't notice any significant price discrepancy between the autos and manuals, bar a few dreamers whose listings stayed up forever. Only sports cars with crappy autos might be different, such as Porsche 911s with the old tiptronic boxes before they had the PDK dual clutch.
  22. Nice but at that budget you'd be looking at the E9x series instead...
  23. If you don't have the current alignment sheet I'd say go back and get it checked. Have you been keeping an eye on tyre pressures and do you know what pressures you've been running? That also contribute although with the wear being so extremely confined to the edge I'd say bad alignment is more likely.
  24. The dealer tried to sell me on GuardX for the M4. Seemed like a waste of money when I looked it up. It's a polymer coating, I couldn't see how it was different to any other synthetic wax. Do wish I got some paint protection film though, now that would have been useful. South Island grit covered roads have pretty much sandblasted the lower side skirts and parts of the rear fenders. If I repaint these areas, I'll do it...
  25. The AC Schnitzer stuff actually looks more tasteful than what BMW has done with the G82 M4's bodykit.
