  1. Yeah id say red interior + service history but poor and pointless photos(such as #9) don't exactly inspire the wallet to open either.
  2. I'm sure the E39 on wards would have had much higher production numbers, can't exactly crank out hand built motors after all. 90's was when other manufacturers were catching up and they started to go more mainstream appeal.
  3. Or more likely pay enough as trying hard doesn't help when certain parts or cars are rarely available.

    BMW M EV Plan

Certainly take a electric motor over a turbo charger
  5. So he got it tinted before the PPI?. Either way tell him to lay off the gear.
  6. Is it just me who's really struggling to understand this situation. Getting the car tinted when you dont even own it yet?
  7. Nope but there's blue one in Hamilton ive seen now and again over many years.
  8. Last of the Staunches GLWS
  9. Yeah it sure was a nice car, ive always liked the hybird E34\E36 interior.Asking price is another story for our market.
  10. Ok. Anyway i wouldn't think a spring E87? would be the same as E90 knowing BMW. I used to use cable ties on motorcycle to see what the suspension travel was like, you could probably do the same on the shock. Either way those shocks must of be taking a hiding and if they are aftermarket springs so probably not matched very well. Whats the km's on it? If they are aftermarket lowering springs this may help.
  11. Haha, i was wondering what you were on about till i read it a few times. Didn't proof read too well that time.
  12. Given its been played with have you had the alignment checked?
  13. People don't hard on about pre-emptive maintenance for nothing but they typically give decent warning as long you someone who checks things now and again. In saying that ive they can go from small leak to a major one in days. Having no bottom engine cover helps when it comes to this sort thing.

Will have much more to worry about than mpg

    Not my Supra

The actual interior design and layout is still way too BMW like for my tastes.

    Not my Supra

Reliability point made me laugh, should ask again in 10 years. Can understand the engine\drivetrain but the interior looks too BMW, shame given the original Supra interior look.
  17. If you doing that work yourself i don't see him as being that much more expensive than a 540i as long as the engine internals hold up. I considering buying one but i couldn't use it how id like to around here without it having to worry about it cosmetically suffering. Worse type of buyer is the one who buys purely for speculation purposes, no respect given for me in that case.
  18. Sounds like his wallet has had enough after all those engine repairs and wants someone can take over for the rest.
  19. Looks like a nice garage for car dollies
  20. If it has one the battery sensor is more to do with charging side of it so having it unregistered shouldn't affect starting. Have they got good charge? Good idea to get the battery load tested before buying a new one given they aren't cheap. Id check all the battery and engine ground cables are in good condition and tight then try tapping the starter motor with a hammer etc and try to start
  21. Certainly new struts etc if they haven't been done.
  22. Wider 17's have been a pita to find for awhile now and the reason i don't run staggered setup (least in NZ) . Square or 18\19's these days.
  23. Indeed, i thought my comment basically implied that, maybe it just was just me. I do agree PFL lights do seem to project a bit better than FL but they both suck really compared to a proper headlight. I dont know how prevalent PFL xenons are but there's plenty of FL lights with factory Xenons around these days. they certainly help out somewhat.
  24. As much as i like keeping things original i don't why people don't swap to FL lights, massive improvement with the only downside of them being sealed. I agree with qube though, im going to assume its still using many original parts. Not a bad example to spend $ on though
