Back in the day when I got my fire arms licence your guns were registered against that licence. Your property was inspected and all firearms were sold with a transfer against that licence to another holding a licence. This included private and commercial sales This system should be brought back in and policed appropriately. Online sales should be made illegal. Pick up only after all the paper work is carried out and registered..... My opinion

I had a 6 x 7.2 garage build on the gable end of our house, with a 1.2 eave that extended and matched up perfectly with the roofline of the house. It was the closest we could get without having to actually extend the house (which looked to be about twice the cost!) Versatile quoted a horrendous amount of money for a half-arsed suggestion and were still not even including the options I wanted. SKYLINE here in Whangarei were AMAZING, came in cheaper, even with the mesh in the concrete, perfectly aligned roof and it integrated into the house, exactly like it was supposed to have always been there. I'd 100% use them again. I don't know if the other Skyline franchisees are they same, but these Whangarei guys are superb!

I dont usually get into my real bugbears but as a Hunter and firearms owner I am so disappointed by the Police over the granting of a Licence to the Christchurch Terrorist. I do admit to having a Dog in this fight so to speak, and I personally know the previous Police Inspector in charge of firearms. He had backed up everything that Stuff published last week regarding the poor performance of Police in checking Tarrant's background. He should never have been given a licence yet Minister Nash keeps coming forward and saying everything was done correctly. Firearms ownership is a very divisive and emotional subject with people having very strong opinions either way, I get that. What annoys me is that internally Police would have know pretty quickly if things were done correctly and the Government would have known as well. I guess we will have clearer indication when the Royal Commission reports but I am convinced someone is telling lies.

Top up the gearbox first and see if it drives first... go from there

The 2nd one would be the pick of my choice mainly as the timing chain as been done

That looks bloody sharp matched with the tan headliner.

Fitted some OE tan "leather" rears into the coupe today. It's the small updates that count right? ?. Now to track down something better suited than the tired comfort seats in the front.

The Singapore piece probably worries me less if it was imported earlier in its life - looks to have got here 2011 and has had 100k of NZ mileage added so it’s really up to how the NZ owners have cared for it. Generally cars of that caliber in Singapore are looked after. Owned a standard X5 4.4i pre-facelift. Transmission and suspension parts seem to be the biggest issues, then normal bmw coolant and oil leaks coming in a close second. I had no idea if the chains had been done on mine, but it made no noises and ran well. I still prefer the pre-facelift over the newer V8 despite the timing chain problems. 9k seems okay for the IS model. Interiors seem to be getting a little tatty now on these but that one looks tidy - just needs a good groom.

HiFly Tyres are not a baseline of anything other than how cheap - let's allocate this decision to a used car lot to protect the guilty - the person paying the bill was! There are many 'generations' of RFTs now, some are much better than others. I've evaluated a few cars for purchase on RFTs and did not find them dreadful. Frankly if you're changing out of RFTs to conventional tyres *and* don't carry a spare, you're nuts. Unless - say - you never leave the Auckland metropolitan area. A blown out conventional sidewall will not be repaired by Tyre Goo when you're two days (or more) away from a replacement tyre.

Its begun E30 in shed last night, rear lights bumper trim etc off for rust inspections. Not as bad as thought. Motor wiring disconnected, will drain fluids and disconnect exhaust and driveshaft tomorrow night. Motor out by weekend. Purchased these a couple weeks back, also have the rear seat to unstitch for cloth repairs Rolling chassis by next week, better start doing the detent refresh on the ZF and get the rust repaired.

Gave back some respect to the M3 by replacing the 1er style 207's with a spare set of style 24's and semi slicks I had lying around. Much better.

Coombes Johnston in Hamilton had a very nice one they were selling on behalf of a customer. Was on display at the BMW festival. Owner was looking for around $35k I believe.

Just collected this beast today. unusually for a UK car, has power seats and black leather. The dubs make the ride a little jiggly at times though. is there anything i should keep an eye out for? also, are those BBS rims, i can't tell tbh.

Well, went to bleed the clutch, and the bleeder nipple snapped off flush. Tried to use a drill with an easy-out to get the rest out, but she was pretty stuck in there, and so snapped the easy-out in there. So ordered a replacement slave, put that in. Rookie mistake. Didn't order a replacement master as well, as the seals are basically gone on that. Clutch pedal releases just about the floor, but managed to take her out for a quick drive to test out the gearbox, and there are no crunches, so that's nice. Drives much nicer now, and is a really comfortable drive. I found it much nicer as a daily than my E30, which is a bit concerning. Have got a single-mass flywheel to go in that's actually suited to the engine to go in, and will order a replacement master too. Will get those in, put all the trim pieces back on, figure out the boot locking issue, then take her in for a wof.

330 needed a wheel alignment, turns out the tierod ends were seized. Yay for UK imports. Quick mission to supercheap for a big fudgeoff adjustable nut fudger, and new rack ends and tie rod ends installed.
