  1. Scrubbed it up really nice
  2. Seems like a minter but the full de-badge to me makes it look like a car that’s ready for a commercial where branding needs to be omitted. And really? You could have paid 5k to de-badge including the actual bmw emblems??
  3. Especially with the pus ca18.
  4. Yep will be sorting that when I can get more paint and possibly pickup some nicer rear door cards.
  5. Yeah these are anodised aluminium producing a fine chrome finish for a short period. Scuffed them up with 320 then a few light coats of etch primer, followed by some satin black. The pillars and pieces around the mirrors were just scuffed with 800 then a few coats of the same satin black.
  6. Got around to sorting out the crusty “chrome” window trims.
  7. Hey could you please update your original post with the asking price?
  8. What’s the plan of attack for cleaning/maintenance on them? Just wash with soapy water?
  9. Why oh why did they make the NSX in auto ?
  10. Can you give us some specific examples of that?
  11. Some more things to cross off the maintenance list. New rear discs and pads. Re-instated the wear sensor too. Very decently priced for the whole shebang through bmworkshop for gen ATE parts. Had an annoying issue with wind noise and a wee bit of water ingress through the rear door fixed window when washing the car, but thankfully not when raining. Was thinking it was the crusty window moulding, but turns out whoever replaced that window in the past didn’t use a thick enough bead of polyurethane. The glass was being held in tight by surrounding trims however not water or air tight. I was dreading having to cut the glass out but it just lifted right out. Put a pretty tall bead of polyurethane in an now she’s water and air tight.
  12. Nothing healthy about your comments all through this thread dude. No need to be salty that someone bought a car for cheap and is selling it for a higher price. As mentioned the market will decide. If you have nothing positive to say then move on from this thread.
  13. Am keeping an eye on this thread ?
  14. The modules go fast usually. Needs to match your car depending on if it had asc or dsc. My 01 530i wagon has asc where as the M5 has dsc.
  15. Try a new one. If issue persists replace with a new or repaired module. I can help get it coded to the car.

yeah my wagon does this only you need to ever so slightly wiggle the shifter over to the left as you move it down from N to D. Was quite bad when I first got it thinking I'd need to fix/replace but It seems almost non existent now. probably a combo of knowing the knack to it and the car being used much more often than it was with the PO.
  17. Did you use silicone rtv sealant in place of the butyl tape that seals the door moisture barriers? If so that’s going to be fun to deal with when a door lock actuator or window regulator fails... You can test the moisture barriers are sealing with door cards removed, close door, hose on the outside of door window, open opposite door, check for water leaking out between the door and moisture barrier. If the carpets got damp and it was musty smelling chances are the foam under the carpet is still wet and growing mould/mildew.
  18. Where did ya get the anti skid mat from? That will come in very handy!
  19. The last all-motor M5 imo will definitely appreciate in value.
  20. The black on black ‘murdered out’ look imo lacks contrast. The bbs wheels in shadow chrome or bronze I reckon would look a lot better.
  21. Having both a 530i and an M5 and having daily driven both. They're the same in terms of fuel economy.
