Found my intermittent misfire this morning on the way back from Napier. After small stutters for a good hour I had zero codes. Then not far from home the check light came on and I lost a cylinder. I had thought the entire time that it felt like a coil pack starting to die. But as I had new ones I thought it must be something else. Was number 5. Swapped it to one of my good old ones and the problem seems to have been solved. So I don't recommend these coils. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bavarian-autosport-parts/bmw-high-performance-ignition-coil-single-coil/5005~bav/

But mate I spent 2 mins in it with my asthmatic vacuum cleaner. And smeared the dash in the oldest greasiest Amore All I could find in Dads garage.

Cheers. Turns out my neighbours in Featherston who are building their house had their roof blow off on Sunday morning. Freak wind gust of over 170kph ripped it to bits. Roof landed right where my house would be if it was there. It then took off again and hit another neighbours house about 200m away. Fire crew said they have not had wind that strong there for a good 15 years.

Yup. 150kph gusts here in Gladstone. Shaking the house. Sheep have all decided it is a great time to have their lambs. Had to go and strap our water tank down in Featherston so I didn't have to collect it from the neighbors. And my sisters Vineyard in the Wairau Valley flooded pretty badly. A lot of damage. Lucky not to the vines or house.

Could have. Sounds nice but a little loud at 5:40am.

Ah thought so. Pretty stupid thing to do really BMW.

I didn't know this was a thing. My car is loud all the time even at idle. I see that bimmertools can control it. Might see if it still works. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=UD52-EUR-07-2007-E87N-BMW-130i&diagId=18_0667 Also something I have not changed on this car is the fuel filter. Is it located under the car like an E46 or is it part of the float assembly?

Welcome. There is plenty of help available on the forum. BMW's are not too expensive to run in NZ. Most of us import parts from places like FCPeuro or ECMTuning which have excellent prices. There are a number of other great suppliers too. Keep a look out for any group buys to save on shipping. I had a E46 325ci in the US a few years back. Great car. Easy to work on.

I would drive a modernised 2002 EV. I liked that Honda E. But I am not paying $65k for one. A BMW however.

Heard quite a few good things about them. Couple of people on here own there. Promo (Pramod) is a user based in Wellington who can help with all programming needs.

If that information was shared without your knowledge then that's an easy lawsuit win. The only person who would likely sign this information away would be the first owner. Where a contract with the manufacturer would be signed.

Govt Breathes New Life Into "Clean Car" Legislation

Yeah they are going to urgently need to change the liability laws to cover this sort of thing. -
GT86/BRZ rear lights are a bit meh.

Appealing to those who don't care about what the CCP are doing around the world. Which to be fair is most. -

You don;t need extra range. After the first drive you are just going to leave it where it runs out of juice anyway. The CCP thanks you for your support. An article will be written about how you think your MG is far superior to your Maserati and BMW. -
I have a misfire again. Oddly INPA brings up a bunch of codes but ISTA+ brings up nothing. Something is wrong with ISTA I think. Everything functions fine but it never finds any codes. I know for sure my FRM module has two. INPA sees this. Got to be my install. Bimmergeeks tool picked them all up. But not right away. Nothing of interest to do with a miss though. Will Data log and try and capture it.

Was it on here? or somewhere else I read that a group monitoring the price of 2nd hand EV's is already seeing an increase. -

I just can't see this going anywhere. Scaring people into shitty 2nd hand short life electric vehicles will only drive up the price of the already limited and poor quality imports. I'm betting Japan can't wait to dump all the old crap on us. I was interested in the new Honda E. But pretty average range and they are $64k for an ex demo.... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/honda/other/listing/3079178330?bof=Didrf8jt Hmm I wonder if you can fudge the battery life details via programming. -
Is it just me or does anyone else not like Carwow videos? All they seem to do is drag races. Zero care for drag racing.

Hold onto the bits. You will make some good money someday without all the effort of E30ing. -
Thought they were convincing you into a boxter for a moment there. Enjoy. I wish I had purchased @GorGasm's one after driving it.

Yeah DC didn't have a WOF system. Just an emissions check. There were plenty of holes in it but it was very effective in keeping old cars that were not classed as a classic off the road. See an old car in DC and it is no doubt from Maryland or at least registered there. My E46 only passed because I had cleared all codes before I went in for my check. The guy said I couldn't do that and needed at least 48hours worth of driving after a "Clear". But then just passed me anyway for some reason. Wasn't going to question him. I wonder what it would do to a place like the Wairarapa. I would say a good half of the vehicles are old utes/4wds that wouldn't have a sh*t show of passing any emissions test seen around the world. -
