  1. Also been looking for one. Not much on offer when it comes to DCT or Manual that is in the reasonable value zone. Feel the dealer cars are artificially holding the prices high.
  2. Won't this kit just suck in all the engine heat and any fumes present in the engine bay?
  3. Unlikely but he didn't mention.

    Quick rant thread.

Yup it's an absolute joke. L4 - Moan about Jacinda L3 - Level Free L2 - Normal L1 - See L2 Even L4 in Masterton was a joke. I was the only one in the office so was driving into work each day. The stupid sh*t I saw. Sadly unless you call these assholes out they won't change their habbits.
  5. I got a message from the seller. It did indeed sell.
  6. Classic cover for the wifes 200sx. I think it is insured for $30K and has a limit of 5000kms per year. Is cheap at around $600 for the year. Heavily modified vehicle.
  7. Yeah it looks like he stuffed up. I search every week for S85's. And have not seen one. I miss this one by 2 hours....
  8. Pretty angry I missed this. I would have paid double.
  9. Less Pakaraka Road without cyclists. What is this wizardry?
  10. I lived there recently. It will cost more. And it is a massive hassle to send things to NZ unless you have an account with a courier service. I just got a replacement coil pack from ECS Tuning in Ohio for free under warranty. Came in 10 working days. And they had to wait for the part to get shipped to them in that time too. Both FCP and ECS are great. Oh man I miss 2 day free shipping from them whilst I was living there.
  11. Oh wow. Had one of these as a paddock car many moons ago. Only lasted about an hour. It was actually pretty mint. Got it for free out of the trade and exchange.
  12. Its interesting the average fuel use is 10.7 to 10.8L/100kms for 130's. Mines higher at about 11.8L/100kms. Near no city driving though. You would think it would be less. But the rural roads are all 0-100-0 starts and stops. https://www.fuelly.com/car/bmw/130i
  13. Avoid Red. For reasons mentioned above. Here is a wagon that I would say is better. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/325i/listing/3143012642?bof=xYyQq5jp
  14. Ouch. But that's what you get when you're a filthy crim and built your car from stolen vehicles. https://youtu.be/RhAKsMvrev8
  15. Yeah I am interested in what you find so that when mine does it I know what to do. Also have scanners if you end up in the Wairarapa. But as hills make it over heat..
  16. Has a pretty open exhaust with no cat.
  17. So I lent my E87 to my brother in law while we were trying to find an issue with his Holden Colarado. It's a standard 2.8ltr intercooled TD. No engine mods or anything like that. Knew it was a vacumm leak. Took a while and eventually found this. I've seen this happen on high powered petrol cars. Detonation back through the intake. Maybe on something at the drag strip. But I can't think of what would cause this on a Diesel vehicle. As you can see this has been an internal explosion. Nothing can hit the intercooler where it is located in the car. Anyone have any idea? Fixed photo.

    Dent repair

Leant my car to my brother in law who lives in Wellington. Got the car back today and someone has opened their door onto it pretty damn hard. Absolutely typical for Wellington. Where the people who live there are surprised when the wind catches their car door and damages someone else property..... it's like they still don't realise that Wellington is windy on occasion.. Anyway. I need to get this fixed. As dents make me care so much less for a vehicle that has them. It's in a terrible spot. Right on the crease. Should I bother with paintless dent removal? Or is this a trip to the panel beaters. Sorry about the photo quality. My $1000 Oneplus phone struggles with anything that is white. Or black. Edit. Not sure what happened to the photos. But re-added.
  19. even if it can just hold the tabs while you pull the pipe up.
  20. It does actually look like it is designed to have those tabs pushed in. Do you have a socket that would fit over it and push them all in at the same time? Then pull the pipe up.
  21. I have no idea what it is or where it is. Photo from further back may help.
  22. Yeah this is what we told customers to sell the more expensive rotors. Which came from the same factory and had the same lateral runout specs. We should make these into a nice site sticky. I enjoyed reading through them.
  23. Yeah buy yourself a manual and a cheap tool kit. They are the most simple car to maintain. Also M539 is currently working on a E30 on his channel. Might give you some inspiration.
  24. I have watched quite a few Videos of people using Colourlock. https://www.colourlock.com/bmw_leather_dye_colour_chart.html The youtube channel M539 uses it on pretty much all his restorations. He is just an armature with no prior knowledge and it comes out great. BTW I am getting a kit myself in a few months once I have somewhere to work on it. But there is a mobile guy people recommend on the forum. Check in the Interior section of the forum.
