Possibly done during compliance in NZ.

Ah, with that chrome sMg badge on the centre console it is DEFINITELY worth 70k!!

Sometimes you see an M5 wagon on trademe and you just don't have any choice....not often, but it does happen!
-
If you are mainly working on aluminium you can get specific ones with a bigger gap between the teeth that helps stop them from clogging up and lets them cut faster. Those ones should be pretty good on steel ( new ones are always good) but will probably clog pretty quickly with aluminium. You can also get longer shank versions that can be useful for porting.

It's cheaper to take the M5 to BMW for the WOF than to VTNZ, and BMW wash it as well. No brainer.
-
Go to BMW and buy just the rubber inserts for your wipers, expensive for a little bit of rubber, but last a lot longer than most aftermarket stuff and you don't have to butcher anything to install them! I get new ones every year (+/- 12 months!)

Living with sensible(?) vehicles - E53 V8 and E60 M5...

I spent about $7K all up when I had mine done, including a few other bits and pieces, which I thought was pretty reasonable for the peace of mind you have after it's done! -
Yeah, nothing like the nightmare you are having, but I enquired about upgrading the stereo in the M5 and adding a camera, took a couple of goes to actually get hold of them and the response I got made me decide not to use them at all. I had heard good things about their work but bad customer service is a massive red flag for me with any business.

Or if the driveshaft has been modified...
-
I think you will get away with it if ALL of the components are unmodified factory parts, I recall looking into when I had the 540i swapped.
-
I beg to differ, my M5 tows regularly and has practicality up the wazoo! ?
-
Cut some risers from solid aluminium round bar, 16mm I think, shaped to fit rocker cover, welded on, drilled and tapped M6 holes, powder coated wrinkle black. Couldn't be easier!
-
I modified the rocker cover for my M42 to take the bolts for the COP units without needing the extra plate, I may have posted on here about it when I did it.

If you're in the business of selling cars, why the hell would you make a car that lasts forever??? Also, why would you make it cheap to keep the old one going? It annoys me too, but it does make sense.
-
I doubt you will get pre cast/ tilt slabs for cheaper than steel framing / cladding, and if it is single storey there is no real need for them, I used total span for my 30M garage and they were perfect for that, not sure what their maximum unsupported span is though. A 300 Sqm floor will probably be the most expensive part!

$7k budget for a daily. What are you buying?

Mini, probably won't get a cooper S for that money ( at least not a decent one) but worth a look. -
I did this in the old days when I had a Galant that didn't fit me! Bit of a grey area legally, but never got picked up at WOF time and I took them out when I sold it.
-
Mine was off an e60, bolted straight onto the e61 no problem. You will probably have to cut some holes in some plastic at some stage, but mine even had the hole marked out on the inside of the trim!
-
I got mine from a wrecker with the BMW module, easy to wire and disables the rear PDC when a trailer is plugged in.
-
I am a similar height and had no problem with my coupe, the longer doors are a bonus too!
-
Sold them with the car, I have a standard factory set of headers if you are interested.
-
At least he makes up for it with a detailed description.....?
-
Sounds about the right size ratio for a shed! ?

Try Bavarian motors, on the shore.

It can be triggered by a long gentle bend in the road, not enough angle on the steering wheel for the sensor to detect, but enough difference in wheel speed for the abs sensor to detect, and it thinks you have a flat, the Waterview tunnel triggered the TPMS in the M5.
