You own those physical plates, but unless you completed the transfer of entitlement you do not own the rights to the combination of characters, meaning you cannot get the plates re made at any point unless you go through the process above to claim the entitlement. It's not difficult, just more hassle than the normal transfer that is supposed to be done when plates are sold.

Even if the van was exceeding the speed limit you are still not allowed to reverse into it, option 2 seems like a pretty good outcome considering.

Ordered a new alternator regulator and earth cable with IBS to try and sort out the intermittant charging fault in the M5. Hopefully one or the other sorts it out.

When these were released in NZ a new Leaf was $79k, so that was actually very reasonable!!
-
Or i3s with minor structural damage that are being written of because carbon fibre body = $$$$$$$
-
At the moment it would be cheaper to buy a Leaf and pull the battery out for storage than to buy a dedicated battery of similar capacity. Don't think I haven't considered it!!
-
Looks like a home made earthing kit, supposed to eliminate any poor earths in the factory wiring, pretty much pointless on an E39 assuming the original wiring is ok. I would be pulling it all out.

Give it a year and your old cars will feel loud, slow, clunky, and annoying and you'll only drive them to get a fix of engine noise!!

It bugs me that it says its 4wd.....

Be very careful doing this, I took the M5 to BMW for a replacement screen after being told by my insurer that I could, only to be told after the repair was done that they would only pay the value of an aftermarket screen, leaving me with a $1500 bill. I managed to argue the point and get them to pay it but it was a massive hassle!!

Living with sensible(?) vehicles - E53 V8 and E60 M5...

The Tyre warning system uses the abs to detect differences in wheel speeds and compares to steering angle sensor, so a long but gentle corner can set it off, mine has done it a few times. I have just put PS 4ss on the front to go with the rears, can't fault them so far... -

It's all relative, it could be something that's cheap, for an M5! -
Sounds like the best way to get it looking right....

Wire brush wheel in a drill helps!

I think it is called Accidento in Birkenhead, used to be By Accident ( or the other way round) in Enterprise st, I always use them, never had an issue.

When I had the M5 bumper done I took it off and dropped it in, the guy used their little machine to get the colour from the rear quarter where it met the bumper so they could match it and it came out perfect. It will save them from having to mask the entire car to paint 2 doors!

Fed the M5 a nice shiney new set of injectors, also got a package from Germany full of new sheet metal for the E21!
-
Is that with or without the M logo puddle lights?? ?

You don't have to have a spare tyre to get a WOF, but if you have one it has to have legal tread depth and be secured. M5 has a can of goo from the factory and no runflats. I believe there are also requirements for not mixing rft and non rft on the same axle, but not 100% sure.

Sandblasting is the best prep for any new coatings, the other option would be dip stripping, especially if you are going to have a polished or partly polished wheel.
-
+1 pilot sport 4Ss, have them on the back of the M5, can't fault them.
