  1. This one is pretty nicely specced - there is a 2016 F11 535d ex-UK also on TM and this is much nicer, fancy merino leather, multifunction display, adaptive LED's...it doesn't want for much. Also no sunroof is a big plus.
  2. Imported F11's are a dime a dozen. Can think of very few NZ new ones (assuming that means anything). Diesel wagons looking less attractive currently with the trajectory of diesel vs petrol (95 is cheaper than diesel in Welly BEFORE you add on the RUC's)
  3. Can't imagine there were many(/any others) of these sold NZ new in 2016 (must've been special order, I think they'd stopped bringing in F11's after the LCI). Great colour combo and spec too. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/535i/listing/3815440540
  4. For reference - my friend's F31 2013 M-package 320d recently sold for 12k (185k on the clock)...seems cheap to me.
  5. @Cammsport - which mechanic is it at currently?
  6. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/320d/listing/3781652586 'As close as you can get to an M3 wagon'? 🙄 - oh yeah it's a rear wheel drive 2.0L diesel that's about 13k overpriced.
  7. Welcome @Jimakaze. M sport package looks good on these X1's. Is it the newer N20 2.0L in this one? You may struggle to find parts for cars with cruise control here as I doubt any of the JDM-market X1's came with it - best bet would be to see if someone like SD European are wrecking an NZ-new M-sport version, search for diesel ones. @promo is your man for anything coding-related in Wellington. My recollection is that getting Bluetooth phone / music on these E-series cars is a lot of work though.
  8. Just put in a 320i…seemed fine
  9. @Moupe sadly the best you can do in RHD is an Alpina D5 Touring, the 540d / 550d are LHD only and 50d engine now out of production due to emissions
  10. The ultimate (ICE-powered) wagon? 4WD diesel quad-turbo w/ 300kw, 0-100 in 4.6 secs and < 7L / 100k.
  11. My approach is to assume this'll be my last (non-hobby) ICE car, so depreciation is largely irrelevant if you're planning to keep it ~10 years. Gas isn't going to get any cheaper but BEV's are liable to be a lot more available (new and used) in 3 years time. N20 is ok compared to previous BMW 4 cyl engines (although that's a low bar!) but probably B48 is better. If you have a sub 15k commute then the PHEV is probably worthwhile otherwise would hang on for an LCI 320i/d, I think the PHEV's are going to be worthless too when they're >5-6 years old as the unreliability / cost to fix will kill the value proposition
  12. @qube I think you're getting confused with the 'non plug in hybrid' pre-facelift ActiveHybrid3. All of the post facelift 330e run B48+electric motor. @digginz fuel economy without plugging in sounds poor on these, real-world range apparently ~30km and make sure your warranty covers battery and motor otherwise 🤑 if they go wrong. F3x chassis is pretty good though and the mid-2016 models onward will be able to have native Apple Carplay.
  13. Haven't seen any of the UK diesels with it either, I think largely the 35d model from Japan did
  14. this one of your old ones @NZ_InFerno?
  15. Halo ring bulb replacement on (my former) E91 that I'm titivating - this job is an absolute PIA, with thanks to Jon @Spinner99. Wheel off / liner off / light cover off then dremeling a hole in the bulb housing as they'd made it one time use from the factory. Great to get rid of the dreaded exclamation mark of doom from the dash though...useful PDF guide attached if anyone else needs to tackle this one. E90 Halo Change 3.pdf
  16. That sounds like a bullet or two dodged @Sammo!
  17. Somewhat neglected looking E60 M5 in an actual colour (not blue / grey / black)...actually quite like it
  18. Yeah looks in good nick for a 200k car let alone 3.5x that…probably had the parts cannon fired at it at some point
  19. There’s a list at BimmerLink.app, I’m using the vgate wifi with an iPhone
  20. Got an iPhone with BimmerLink app @Palazzo? Assume wear sensors changed simultaneously?
  21. My understanding is you can update them in the vehicle if you have an unsanctioned copy of ISTA but those non-dealer services (unless your indy has registered with BMW) will be deleted if the car is ever plugged in again at the dealer.
  22. @E30 325i Rag-Top it appears the idrive service records are centrally stored though? As they update when the vehicle is ‘plugged in’ at dealership. guess I should’ve tried harder not to lose the receipts
