  1. That same CSL was advertised for $229k last Monday (I think) by what appeared to be a private seller but was ‘sold pending payment’ by the following evening. Presume the dealer snapped it up quick for $200kish and is happy to sit on it a while to find the right buyer. Looks like a stunning car!
  2. Thought this thread was about the CSL that sold in a day last week: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m3/listing/3844764805 I know that sedan is a 3.2 but a couple of nice looking 3.0' coupes on TM for a a while now with lower kms and lower prices.

    Quick rant thread.

Hmmmm - I typically wait a minute for Spark, request a callback then they just call me back 15 minutes later?
  4. Good power for a stock M52! Would hate to know how little mine makes now, although its still loads of fun - hopefully this time next year I'll be able to rebuild and stroke it with a mild cam - keep it very driveable. Love the Tech 1 wing - have been tempted to put one on mine at times but I will keep the chunky Tech2
  5. Yeah I loved the low tech diagnostics on the fly!
  6. Great episode on the late brake show - very cool car indeed!
  7. If you're looking for trouble free premium euro motoring on a budget, there is also a blacked out 996 with uncerted cheap coilovers for $29k.
  8. Absolute jewel of a car - are those door cards custom?
  9. Absoluteyl gorgeous car but if we're winning powerball, why not something with a few more cylinders? https://auctions.webbs.co.nz/m/lot-details/index/catalog/502/lot/121365/1968-Ferarri-330-GTC?uact=5&aid=502&lid=122737&current_page=0
  10. Meant to give the car a machine cut today (yet to do one) but with the rain decided to refinish my steering wheel properly - I had given it a quick spruce up previously using colour lock by hand but I wanted a better finish. I used the ‘professional’ Furniture clinic products I used to refinish my E46 seats with a spray gun and air compressor including their exceptional matte clear leather sealer that gives everything a beautiful soft touch silky matte finish. Came out great - also did the door armrests and pockets too while I was at it - no shiny 80s plastic in this car!
  11. @E... have you always had a Tech2 as well? Sweet
  12. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/325i/listing/3834747098 Very interesting - an Auto LHD JDM Mtechnic 2 converted to manual here. I am jealous of those sill covers!
  13. As above CarPro Perl is legit, cost effective and best of all - you can dilute to your personal preference for gloss / matte level and dilute further to use on trims / interior etc. A bottle should last a few years.
  14. ^^ Might be the case unfortunately which could give them a little loophole to try and wriggle through. They should still make it right though - it’s not like it’s under factory warranty and this was warranty repair. How was Carplay activated / setup? My F31 has Carplay but by a plug in box, rather Than being flashed (?) to the actual idrive. The other settings are likely simple to change - I remember I got a fright when I used the spare key in ours and all the language / units etc were Japanese again. Main key with saved settings were fine.

I think the stock wheels are great, although I guess if they are curbed up bad, probably negligible outlay going aftermarket. Assuming these are 5x112, could be some good optional OEM wheels avaliable from people tricking out their GTI's / R's / A4's / S3's... although VAG offsets are all over the place. Are DSG farts not standard?
  16. Got up early this morning to tackle the Highway 22 run from the BMW Club mid year Vilegrads lunch and fortunately, this time the car didn’t pop a clutch cylinder - Car felt really good and didn't miss a beat - great having my front sway bar back working and I am very happy with the Yoko AD08Rs. Nice weather, great roads, beautiful scenery and zero traffic for a good 1.5 Hours of spirited backroad driving - good times indeed!
  17. Gorgeous day in Auckland and got under the car for the first time in months - felt good getting hands dirty. Just replaced sway bar end links as I had disconnected my bar several months back as it was fouling on the subframe (car is too low so stock end links angle was way off). I have purchased some H&R sport springs as well as the ST springs I have in it are just too low and I want to make it a wee bit more age appropriate and wife friendly. Planning on getting out for a proper backroad workout this weekend too - have my AA plus roadside membership at the ready too 😂 Edit: Also cleaned my Spark plugs (was expecting them to be fouled again) but they looked good which was a bonus. Then managed to get rid of two OBC lights that have been plauging me for months - coolant level (connector was toast) and brake light (swapped some bulbs around). I should have bought a lotto ticket too but will take the Black Caps smoking Australia instead.
  18. BAT always has such great photos! Those seats look lush.
