  1. @BM WORLD had proper, quality one a while back, not sure if it sold or not. Consensus I've heard is not worth messing around with an SC14 on a 3 litre.
  2. Previous owners have a lot to answer for!
  3. $6k would be good buying in this market, assuming no rust or other hidden gremlins. Facelift coupe FTW
  4. Depends on how much you want to spend obviously - for occasional DIY use, I have these in a 1/2" and 1/4" (to cover wide nm range on a budget) https://www.bunnings.co.nz/kincrome-1-2-micrometer-torque-wrench_p0227823 Seem fine for someone who does minor DIY and outsources the bigger jobs - if you're more serious about wrenching would be worth investing in higher quality.
  5. Love how focused this build is - no faff and bling, just quality bits to make the car better ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. @Blackie we *need* a showroom thread for your beauty Edit: duh - just saw the youtube link!
  7. Meanwhile, in LaLa Landโ€ฆ https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-3236522882.htm
  8. Like a squinting Rav-4
  9. About the same price inflation as an Auckland house since 2015 ๐Ÿค”
  10. Same thing as what is happening / happened with JDM cars - people wanting something a little different / old school and it seems older cars are no longer looked down on as 'cheaper' so making it cooler to not have a newer version. Largely fueled by Youtube hype / Nostalgia as Driftit says. Plus these people having a bit of coin now / feeling confident because their equity has shot up and the bank is bending over to hand out 'cheap' debt. Personally, sign me up on joining the Hype train and paying 'through the nose for an old, slow, unsafe car in need of work - there's nothing modern that really interests me for under $30k.
  11. Oh I really like this! Some clean E36 been fetching good money lately.
  12. @E28E30 Had forgot about that one - to be fair though, that is leagues ahead of most of the stuff that's hit the market ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  13. With these asking prices going a little bit silly lately, has anyone actually seen a Non M325i or M3 crack $20K in the past 12 months? I follow what I can see publicly but can only recall the stunning Red 318is going for about $22K. There was a Silver 325i 2 Door with a 1UZ V8 asking $20k last year that presumably sold for close too it as well.
  14. The seats? Might be those LSeat covers or something, certainly look a little baggy.
  15. Looks like a very nice car indeed but there's another (not as nice) Auto 325i vert that's been sitting on Facebook Market place for months failing at $20K. As nice as it is, the ceiling for an Auto PFL vert with 200+ kms on reps can't be more than $25k.

    M52 powered e30

Looking fresh! anything scary lingering under those e36(??) side skirts?

    Lockdown tax

I have an unopened loaf of Vogels original mixed grain sandwich in the freezer. Feeling blessed haha
  19. The Bronzit 2 door does look very nice, but $15k is certainly pushing it for a 316i - this has been sitting around at $13,500 for a few months (may have sold looking at the unanswered questions) as clean, probably cleaner and in Alpineweiss II with grey interior as well. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3145204342?bof=ngFPe7Zq Wonder what a clean facelift 325i manual 2 door in a good colour is going to cost me ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  20. Needed a refurb too... can't you get them refurbed on Ebay for $750-800? I would be getting a Nardi or something for less money.
  21. Looks like a vape holder instead of a cup holder haha Strong asking price for a high km 2002 example with several defects and no mention of service history...
