Mine is with a local clutch specialist and the initial prognoses isn't good. Was although the clutch plate is serviceable the fly wheel is, well yeah, buggered (my worst case scenario). They said that they generally steer away from these. They are currently explore next step, including finding a kit, converting to single mass as possible options. So in the meantime, keen to hear what options (and potential costs) are available and/or what others have done to source, replace etc. Its for an e31 with the S6S420g box mated to a m60 V8. Or even better, if anyone has a good/serviceable one laying around... π Cheers

If iβm not mistaken, these sunroofs can be opened manually using an hex key rightπ? If the mechanism in the motor housing hasn't been βroundedβ π

Both π

Hey can we close this thread down quick please - we donβt want the general public to know that these cars, well e34βs for that matter, are the next collectable modern bmw. And then become unobtainable for us mere mortals. Thanks! πππ

Awesome! And manual as well? Will be watching how this build goes π

My vote is to put the 4.6 into this! π

To me it looks more like a mid-90s subby impreza wagon. Especially from the front π

Totally agree! 500bhp and the noise is something else! I have to admit, when i had mine, i never had the balls to put it into the βlaunch controlβ setting with the shifting mode n the secret sixth setting π€£. glad to hear you are enjoying it and look forward to thepucs!

But which 'options' are dialed in when its in M-mode π... once you become more familiar 'M button set up' you maybe more pleasantly surprised π

Awesome colour! And no biggie that it is a little dirty π

And i could probably live with that grill too. Much better than the current offeringβ¦

That's the theory, however, the practice is much different π. And I don't give MP's any credit... π€£ Anywho, will still be keepin' the V8's regardless of what the future holds haha -

Congrats! Sounds like an awesome deal, but you know it didnβt happen if there are no pics π

Went for a spin down the road and it ticked over this, which i thought was pretty cool π

Agree! I test drove one just before last years lockdown. I told the sales person in all seriousness - the only car that I can compare it to, which I have previously owned is... E60 M5! it had heads up display, adjustable suspension, 'sport mode', seats, handling, ride comfort and its practicality was pretty much on par - which actually speaks a lot to the E60 M5! Only area the Stinger couldn't compare - the shear savageness and noise of the M5! oh and fuel economy π, but it only has a 50l tank so they probably have the same range haha How about a 6 series gran coupe: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/650i/listing/2962412947

Kia Stinger. There ya go, I said it π. Something M-ish, M5 - E34, E39 or E60 would be my suggestion... ohhh how about a M6 Gran Coupe?
