    E36 M3 Project

Is this a track or road car? I'm confused.
  2. I've done a lot of Soarer stereo system with similar issues. Capacitor related. Currently doing two reciever units for customers, as these are like the 'central hub' of the stereo that talks to the amp, control headunit and cd stacker, when they go bad over time volumes alter in channels going out of balance, sound quality and depth is lost. If you wanted to catch up I could inspect your unit and let you know what I could do / costs. I'm just in central Auckland.
  3. I'd rather have a standard one
  4. I can look at repairing your unit, 9/10 chance its the capacitors. What are your symptoms?
  5. Actually they aren't that much wider, the M coupe has a narrow rear cabin giving that 'massively widened' rear, the Z3s width is much the same as is the rear fender shape. The idea of something like this is to make a Z3 stronger and actually a proper drivers car, not for a beauty contest. Most people don't like the M coupe anyway.
  6. I love M coupes. But they are expensive and you can only really drive them Projects are fun I was thinking perhaps a Z3 coupe would be a good base, but remove all the crap at the back, boot, and convertible gear Developed an extensive roll cage that has the same general outter dimessions as the M coupe rear frame work Of course this would need to be nicely done and meet regulations as well as be designed in the right way so it actually works as a strengethening device Outter skin with perhaps alloy sheeting and lexin windows could be used for the upper body work, rivited style similar to that of a Landrover Defender, not perfect but nice Yes I'm just being crazy with ideas, but I think there would be some potential to a project like this, thoughts? Of course motor upgrades are another matter.
  7. Im sorry, but this post just reads way too weird. Spam / bot user??
  8. ^ Too bad it has a stancemob sticker. CRINGE!
  9. Nice 7 year thread bump
  10. When theres so many good E38s around in the 5-10k range, it just seems like a waste of time and money starting with a crappy one just to save a few k on the purchase price.
  11. Old work computer, we used to be Team Honey, bit of in office joke.
  12. Have you checked your subframe mounting points in the rear? They can be responsible for sagging rear ride heights. Most E36s have the start of, or significant cracks, eventually leading to complete failure.
  13. Spend some more time adjusting gearbox tune, shift points on my BMW er, Toyota Better, bit more chilled out at certain throttle points.
  14. These would all have be worth less than usual knowing our sleazy politicians have been picking their noses in these and filling them with dandruff. Ugh
  15. Annoying. Probably a good time to sell it. Jk
  16. Where these torqued to the running ride height though? Quite easy to tear them, especially if they are lower quality to start with.
  17. Wow, hopeless! This is why I tell people never to touch that crap Meyle stuff, Lemforder or nothing.

    99 E38 750i SOLD

Keep in mind there was that really tidy L7 long wheel base E38 V12 that sold for 10k recently. If that is relevant to what 750is are worth I'm not so sure.
