7 pointsha ha.. I agree. Trying now to get my hands on a 00 740i here in town but the owner and I are still a long way away from eachother on price. The body and upholstery are shot and it's done over 300k. BUT. Its had a 6 speed manual conversion and someones done the work and put a large case LSD in it. I want those bits in my 740..lol

4 pointsIf you (not anyone in particular in this thread) had a budget of several million dollars to make your opinion on the TPPA, your opinion would be valid. Unfortunately you don't, I don't, so we collectively rely on the government that we have voted in and paid to be there to make the decision for us. The facts are that no kiwi individual has all the facts. This is exactly why i haven't put myself in a position here or elsewhere where i support the TPPA or not, I do not have all the FACTs to make my own mind up, so i rely on the Government. Same with Asset sales, I did not have an opinion one way or the other, and relied on my government to make their decision. The assets have lost value since being sold. One argument is poor Kiwi Investors. My argument is they shouldn't have brought in. The numbers just didn't stack up when i looked into it and kept my money elsewhere in the share market. The government extracted the maximum value they could. Don't forget when you sell a business is unlike selling a car. The price you set for the company is far higher than the assets value. Included is the profit that would have been gained over the next X number of years. unlike a house or car where you are only selling the capital value, not the future benefits. We are still being paid the "lost profits", we have already got them. I relied on the government we put there to make the correct decisions which on the balance of FACTS they did. If you really think you are hard done by the National Government, you would become a refugee in another country. I am very right leaning, but even i will admit if a Labour government was in power, I am still very fortunate to live in a country where the citizens collectively choose who to put in charge, and for the most part both parties do not abuse this privilege. Don't forget, if you voted someone other than the current party in power, your voice IS still heard through the party you voted for, proportional to the amount of people in the society that think the same way as you do. Its not a National show up in there. They are forced to listen to other parties that are in the house. National cannot do whatever they please, as they rely on other party support. One of the reasons I didn't vote National last election despite my support for them, I am not comfortable with one party having an outright majority by themselves, it doesn't work out well elsewhere in the world.

1 pointBuild Date March 1994.Chassis JB02939 Reg No SS1338 Supplied by TMBMW July 1994.Full service history. At a cost of more than $110000 on the road there were not many of these AC Schnitzer S3 silhouette coupes bought into NZ. With the M50 2.5 engine producing 190 HP,a top speed of 150MPH and 0-60 in 6.5 seconds (AutoCar magazine Aug 1994) this car was no couch potato, these are respectable figures even today. One owner till June 2013 and on the mainland since, it has travelled 96000 kilometres. Always garaged, driven in the dry only, and in perfect original condition. $13000 For more detail PM or call 029 777 4006 Thanks for reading Update 05 October 2017 Car sold in Feb 2016 to third owner in Tauranga. And in July this year 2017 we bought the car back. It has a recent service with Coombes Johnson in Tauranga, and a complete four corner suspension refresh (Bilsteins), new bushes and sway bars, and new brake rotors too. So now it is really is a show car, and go car! The car is still in Tauranga, and if we don't sell it or deal it on something else I'll bring it back to the South Island, although at the moment there is no room in the garage! 1 pointSo I've had my fair share of weird cars after my last E36 M3 and a brief stint with an E46 M3. So after feeling the need for another M3, I initially looked at the Church St European M3 (Tom's old M3) but missed out by a day to another member here. Feeling slightly gutted I called the owner of a M3 CS in Christchurch only for them to waste my time in waiting for their car to be wof'able and two weeks later I got told they will be taking it to Aus with them. After all that effort I was about to give up but I sent a PM to DSC0FF for his car. Sort of went like this: https://youtu.be/-KgFZhGT26w Anyway long story short I have finally picked it up today and I am loving driving again (funny because the BRZ was a really nice drivers car too). Just gave the car a nice interior groom with products the OCD boys use bt he weather is quite bad right now so will do a full polish job next weekend! Looking forward to being active in the forum again!

1 pointIt's also the issue of washing silt into riverways, it seems mundane but when every person washes their car on Saturday it has quite the inflow effect.

1 pointMy biggest issue with the added GST isnt the cost (its a shitty situation but hey), its the time frame that it currently takes customs to get gst payments currently. Unless they completely overhaul the customs system and somehow contact buyers quicker its going add a lot of time and work onto every package you buy online. The hardest thing with a new system is that for the majority of packages that you buy online, a name and address is all thats on the pack from the seller, so thats all customs have to be able to contact you. snail mail is sh*t, and quickly working its way down to being unusably slow.

1 pointDid the thermostat and housing on saturday, bled cooling system, went for a drive, re-bled cooling system e36 loops seem to be a pain in the ass to bleed. All is well now, runs at proper temp. Very good weekend. (Aside from the torrential rain today) Got a few goodies: F**K yeah! Cupholders! Auto-dimming mirror: I'm going to have to pull this and my mirror apart. Got the auto-dim mirror installed and the remote locking decided to stop working. I assume the sensor for the remote is in the mirror, so looks like I'll have to find the sensor in the stock mirror and fit it to the new mirror. And got an 18 button OBC: And the big news: Got a full manual conversion sorted out with a ZF gearbox and clutch to match. Will be getting all of it on Thursday. Looks like I'll be converting it a lot sooner than anticipated, although I'm not sure which Diff is in it as the tag is missing..it will likely be in the high 3's meaning I'll either run it with the high ratio diff for a little while (few weeks) until a lower ratio diff pops up or I'll wait until getting the diff to convert it. Current priorities: Install 18button OBC Manual swap Tyres Suspension (New shocks and springs) Full s50 exhaust with m50 manifold.

1 pointJohn Key was originally against the flag change, calling it a waste of time and money. I wonder what changed his mind? And don't get me started on the TPPA. That's a stick with two shitty ends. The majority of the public who have paid any attention to it, worldwide, seem against it yet governments insist on pushing it through while big business sits back, chuckles, and rubs its hands with glee.

1 pointThe HPFP is only a problem for US spec cars not Euro spec cars including the recall. Waterpump, turbos and oil leaks are weak points.
-
1 pointSo now I don't have to stop for a stop sign any more, wile the car is moving forward all my 4 tyres, if it is only for an atomic second they stop, and reverse for a second before they move forward again .

1 pointGave the car a shakedown yesterday at Hampton downs. Spent the first half of the day chasing a bad misfire. After trying different coils, upping the fuel pressure, and adding a vacuum line to the regulator, I noticed that the water temp and oil pressure/temp values on the dash/logger were jumping up and down with values as low as 8 degrees and as high as 180psi. After fiddling around with the temp sensors etc, we managed to work out that the new link cam angle sensor is creating some EMI across the sensors, causing the ecu to think the Temps/pressures are too low or high and effectively changing the fuel/ign maps and kicking in safety rev limiters. Unplugged the Temp sensor and the base value was set to 100deg and it was sweet to go. Did 3 laps half arsed, and 2 laps at full noise and then something in the gearbox broke. Ha. Obviously got a bit more torque now. Was awesome to drive when it went though. Will have it resolved for round one. Yeow.

1 pointI almost failed my last WOF after Tony's did a wheel alignment on my touring, some Muppet decided to rotate tyres left rear to right front and vise versa, meaning both corners bad directionals going the wrong way. Seriously, all you c*nts do is tyres, surely they would realise.
