It has been truly incredible to not have been to work - that place of work - recently. I'm sleeping better, starting to feel more positive, and generally on what I sincerely hope is an 'up'. I'm now running the gauntlet of the employment industry. Lack of reply, fob offs, preconceived ideas... But I have massively expanded my horizons via a dramatic reduction in salary requirement, which lends a greater focus to working more locally. More time for me and us. It's amazing the things you can do differently when throwing money at it isn't an option! Sure, fun projects and the like will have to take a back seat, but other ideas and plans come out of the new situation. Just need to find that new source of income...

I personally would love to give some leeway to those, like Tom, that have contributed to the forum in a big way over many years. However, when you then ask some new-ish member who has contributed next to nothing to follow the rules, you get entitled cries “of what about this one” “you’re bullying me”, etc. Admin - for better un-paid work stories.

Thanks to qube I've got my hands on some really tidy Style 166M wheels. Just need to decide on what tyres I'll be fitting.

Great to hear you’re seeing light and the end of the tunnel, having they weight off is such and uplifting feeling isn’t it. I went through a similar depression and anxiety last year with Covid working from home, unrealistic IT project management expectation with poor support partner choices and what felt career derailment. I took a step back and was lucky to stay working for the same organisation (thankful for good management in my case) however now in month 7 of serious concussion recovery those anxiety elements are creeping back in as it’s hard to be effective on 70% of hours. if I don’t recover fully, a move like you described above might be in the cards for me too. With 2 kids under 6 the weight of responsibility is real, but happiness and health is paramount. all the best.

Hypocritically, the same buyers of such cars will probably go out of their way to buy ethically traded African coffee and coco products

You could feel E91 chassis flexing when my friend had the 700nm Torque Performance tune in her 335d 😮

CMY773, tidy looking E39 Motorsport touring. Realised I don't actually see them about all that often now.

Looking for a facelift orange front passenger indicator and two clear boot lights. Also potentially one drivers side eyelid, preferebly in black, as the tabs have broken off.

I think it’s a hot looking car, love the flat bonnet bulge, but wonder do I like it just because the recent offerings have been so minging? It proves a subtle front and tidy grille can look good?

From the same industry information, another article again on EVs, this time the auction prices in Japan, under the heading "Clean Car Mayhem on Prices" by Graeme MacDonald:

Appealing to those who don't care about what the CCP are doing around the world. Which to be fair is most.

No, from christchurch, bought with swap but had to end up doing a decent bit of work things done the way they wanted it for cert, plus heatshields etc... interior is pretty bad at the moment, but its seats and headliner so will look at replacing both if i do keep. Ultimately if its worth 10-11k id keep 8-9k id probably take the swap. Sat reg on hold and still is on hold with no warrant but i cant see why it would not pass one currently.

I think that's Justin's old one? What's the interior like?

Seriously though, if you aren't an enthusiast driver, or it's a daily driver then it's a pretty appealing option. Going to see a lot more Chinese made vehicles on the road in future me thinks. Already lots of Havals kicking around.

Rules are rules I have no issues. I shouldn’t get special treatment for simply contributing to the community👍

Was asking $9K over Christmas / NYE then popped up for $16.5K last month on M3 wheels and with coilovers.

Not sure what you're referring to - I was referencing the Simpsons.

A new MG?... the "reputation" of a British car and the build quality of a Chinese one... Better than the other way around, actually 🤣

I have a misfire again. Oddly INPA brings up a bunch of codes but ISTA+ brings up nothing. Something is wrong with ISTA I think. Everything functions fine but it never finds any codes. I know for sure my FRM module has two. INPA sees this. Got to be my install. Bimmergeeks tool picked them all up. But not right away. Nothing of interest to do with a miss though. Will Data log and try and capture it.

Might I suggest colour matching the shells to the colour of the car, ala various Porsche RS Pole Positions?

It doesn't rank highly in the value for money stakes, but they were made to order by Benda interiors in Germany... https://shop.benda-interiors.com/en/alcantara-speedometer-trim-bmw-e81-e82-e87-e88-black-double-seam-orange-parts-of-ecd-performance1#product_info

Miss M has bought a 2013 116i F20. She's very pleased with it - it's a nice car. Seems unlikely she would have found a decent E30 for the same money!
