Wow, how long ago was "recently"?!? Can you post a copy of the alignment sheet? I would think if it was a static alignment problem the shop would have told you "it's bad" so I imagine it's dynamic alignment (i.e. when your driving only) which would indicate bushes, top mounts or shocks... is it the same on both sides?

@Driftit - what do you think of renaming and moving this thread? "The 130i Thread" in General?

Don't worry, you're among VASK friends, just ask @Sammo, he's a fan. His wife's Audi was an instant hit. The E87 and F20's are a completely different platform, not just a 'facelift' type thing and pretty-much all of the engines changed at this time, including the loss of the glorious straight 6 NA N52 engine from the 130i. The F2x is vastly more modern but the E8x doesn't feel particularly old. The F2x was the last of the BMW rear wheel drives in this class of car (sadly). The F2x 8 speed auto is one of the best in the world. What to look out for really depends on your budget and the model/engine you're looking it, any hints there? For example, I'd say that you're shouldn't pay a premium for an equivalent 2011 E87 over, for example, a 2008 model because almost nothing changed. The difference between a 2011 E87 and a 2011 F20 is night and day.

This one has some nice looking bits including what looks like a carbon fibre airbox or lid... and that exhaust! https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2897971880 Might be worth looking at for around $9k but at $15k they're just taking the piss.

Stink... how about chop the nipple off the existing pump, hand drill out the nipple from the hose, compress the hose and slip the existing clamp off?
-
With the amount of rust on that red one I was thinking "has to be from the UK" and low and behold... "there is an assumption that the vehicle was tourist-delivered as the speedo reads in MILES"... you can spot them a mile away and yet there are still deniers. And what's up with this... "Chassis no: Not known"? ๐คจ

Transmission pressure... at least that's something I'd want to eliminate early, symptoms are relatable.

A couple of us just picked up some for our 130's from here: https://www.maxtondesign.co.uk/spoiler-cap-bmw-3-e92-msport We split the shipping though so quite the difference.

Black cars, you'd think I'd have learnt the first time! smh.

These coatings don't even withstand a basic 3 min Google check... I wish people informed themselves before investing hundreds, let alone thousands. Most even require an annual, user pays, inspection and "if deemed necessary" a (user pays) re-application to maintain the warranty. Ask for a no-conditions, normal use guarantee from the seller and see how they react. Panel and paint work? Full body re-application at retail cost. Use a car wash? Full body application at retail cost. Park your car outside regularly? Full body application at retail cost... the scam goes on. They can't prevent stone chips or scratches (look up their Mohs level) but they can make washing your car easier for a few months, maybe 12 if you hardly drive it. If you park your Ferrari in a dusty garage for 320+ days of the year then perhaps you might get a couple of years of easy(ier) washes? Work out the economies and caveat emptor. Oh, they are shiny though, that's mostly what you're paying for.

I'm wondering if new tape, edge clamps (tailgate open) and some heat across the centre might not calm and confirm it a bit... what do you reckon?
-
It better be HUGE for 300 bucks! ๐ I'm keen to see how mine profiles on the non-Aero spoiler actually.
-
No sorry, I was just suggesting them, I'm not a vendor.
-
All good but no point in paying x300% for BMW branded ones, if you want original just get Valeo ones, that's all the BMW ones are. You will probably have better luck on eBay.de I think. But they're aesthetically identical to the ones I linked above so don't pay much more than that.
-
They'll be here waiting for you. ๐

The links above are a clone of the OEM blacklines, just like in your pic... I'm not seeing any difference myself.

Yes, needs a more aggressive kidney grill design IMHO, lights and bumper themselves are fine. Problem is that different style grills would require an entirely different front end...

These aren't OE but the price is right and Schniedmann don't normally sell rubbish stuff... https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/bmw-e87/1940535-new?product=1280093 https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/bmw-e87/1940536-new?product=1280092 Or you could retrofit my complete set for the updated LED look of course! ๐

Okay, now free for collection in Ellerslie before I either $1 auction it or chuck it in a skip.
-
Bump. Surprised these haven't been snapped up given how superior looking they are compared to pre-facelift. ONO as described in the first post if you're on the fence, I don't get offended by offers.
-
No, I haven't so paint me surprised!

How can you tell? ๐
