BMW really missed the boat by not making E46 sedans and wagons. HellBM is doing the lords work by plugging the gaps. IMO the E90 M3 is the best of that shape too, much better proportioned than the coupe. has @HELLBM done an E91 M3 Touring?

Love the E46 M3 sedan 😍

wow, i thought we were over the trend of making dash displays look like an afterthought tacked on last minute. Clearly not... Those seats look comfy though.

But they have custom built car covers!

Nice cars but gee they are limiting buyers by refusing to split them

Penrite HPR5. That is all. -
Between you and @adro its hard to convince me E30 coupes are better looking than sedans. Its such a well proportioned car. E36s though, its the opposite, sedans are blegh.
-
The wagon stiffer than a coupe or sedan? Yeah nah, not believing that. The only stiffness advantage I can see in the sedan is having framed doors, vs frameless in the coupe.
-
The colours and maybe seats are the only thing special about them, otherwise they are exactly the same as that 318iS coupe with more doors and an Motorsport bodykit. I colours i can get on board with, Dakar and Fiji look awesome, otherwise i'll never understand why everyone is circle jerking about a 4 pot sedan.

Thats a really nice looking example. Interesting/weird spec though, non-motorsport body, but sport suspension, seats and steering wheel. Povo spec OBC. Kiwis are weird. Slick top, no spoiler and style 24s are a great choice.

Kind of a moot point anyway with the engine and manual swap; gonna need a cert.
-
It really sucks about all the issues you have encountered, but this shot right here should make it all worth it. There is just something about an E46 wagon.
-
Ill race it in my $1000 318ti 😂

Having lived with a CVT for many years as a daily, its perfect for many things. No gear changes, always in the powerband, effortless acceleration, its never in the wrong gear. The CVTs that drive like an auto with "steps" are a waste of a good transmission just for the sake of pandering to idiots, basically having the worst of all worlds. As with most things in life, the majority of the CVT naysayers havent lived with one and are just regurgitating what they have read/heard.

What sort of backwards hillbilly logic is that? "A burning EV makes more emissions than an ICE car, thus it is bad". Cmon now.
-
Glad I'm not alone on that one. Ruins the clean lines.

Yeah, asking 15k and having no interest in putting a new WOF on it screams "be very wary" to me. Also not keen on the rolled/pulled rear arches that are starting to rust...
-
Shite thats a good deal for a FL manual with billys.
-
I may have missed the bit where the owner even wants to go faster.... 🤣🤣

I've driven a E36 318iS coupe and it didn't set the world alight. Like in my Compact, the 4 pot makes for a decent commuter but give me a six any day, even in auto form.
-
If you are going to "plug the holes" for now, make sure you strip it back to bare metal as far as you can, treat the rust, paint it with something heavy in Zinc, and then fill the holes. That will at least slow the cancer in the mean time.
-
Front seats look very dry with damage to the drivers bolster and the gear knob is falling to bits. All the important touch points. It'd tidy up, but it's asking a pretty premium price as it is.
-
ugh that JPS livery looks so shite on it. Interior looks really tired too. Im not sure on the value tbh. It'd be a niche market for people that actually know and care what it is, everyone else will just see a four pot e36 sedan (basically the second least desirable model after the compact).

Two tone is a factory style (even if this car has been painted), and i think it looks quite smart.
