No it doesn't? M54 doesn't have the single big vanos lump in the front. It looks like an M52, which the S52 is based off.
-
Didnt even know Alpina did a Z4; thats cool. Using a modified S52B32 too. There is always one though...

The center bore can be fixed using hubcentric rings, but you cant fix the stud pattern issue without either running adaptor spacers, or redilling the wheels. I'd suggest getting wheels that fit, in the correct PCD. https://www.wheel-size.com/size/bmw/3-series/1976/

It was real obvious when my LPFP was packing a sad, there was a direct correlation in the HP rail pressure dropping when the low pressure dropped, i dont see that in your logs. I'd say the HPFP is more likely. Your rail pressure drops to just over 100psi at one point, whilst the low pressure side just keep trying to feed more pressure in, getting to almost 100psi on the low pressure side alone, you wouldnt see that if the LPFP was on its way out.

Ah yup, so he is basically talking up other cars forsale then... "The pleasing shape from any angle, especially in M-Tech trim." Because sorry buddy, that aint M-Tech in any way, shape or form.

I seems to recall a local member went and checked it out a couple of years ago and it was farked. I dont goto palmy often, but will pop in next time im that way.
-
Dont forget where the chains are too.... between the engine and trans 🤣 Great looking barges though. Quite understated.

Oh man, thats my perfect E39 M5 spec... Oxford over Caramel, wood grain, sport seats I feel like being pre-2000 might harm its value a bit? I guess if you're after an M5, especially in that spec, it might not matter, but to most people pre-2000 is the redhead step child you dont want.

"but if you dont support NZ companies you are a bad person blah blah" Yeah, stop price gouging us and we wont buy it from overseas then.
-
That sucks, i really hope its found and in good shape The whole "ownership" system in NZ is shite. Anyone can change any car into anyones name, and it doesnt matter. A seller doesnt even have to fill out their paperwork in order to confirm anything, only the buyer has to do their end. I could "own" every car on this forum if i wanted, it'd just cost me $9 each and some time on the NZTA site.
-
Whilst its kinda cool, its a car i would want to drive once and give the keys back to the owner never to think about it again. The badging is also cringe as all heck.
-
Thats the problem with the pricing. A good one is worth that, a rough one isnt, but there are so few on the market at any one time they can kinda ask what they want. I miss the days where they were trading for 20-25k.
-
*555 does actually work if the driving is dangerous. I *555'd what im sure was a drunk driver who was all over the road, and sure enough they got flagged down by a cop car that was waiting for them further up the road.

Yeah I'm waiting on tardme to have another free sellers day and I'll list it then. I'm loathe to pay their standard listing fees.
-
If every offer I had accepted came through (instead of ghosting me) I could've sold the car 3-4 times by now. So many time wasters.
-
Someone please make me an offer and save me from the constant barrage of "is this still available" and "would you take $xxx and a pitty pup?". God i hate marketplace.
-
TO be fair, i commend them on driving correctly regarding the speed. A space saver is speed limited to 80kph.
-
See, now THOSE are the wheels the car should have! 🥰
-
The wheels are a crime against good taste, but the rest of the car looks stunning. Can't imagine there are many around as tidy.

To be honest, having been on here for a while, this forum has gradually turned into a cesspool of highly opinionated "senior" members who have become far too comfortable and happily spread their drivel. Im guilty of it at times, but im mostly guilty of calling people out for their rubbish (and have been disciplined accordingly). I can understand why Michael left in that case, and I would too, if there were any better local BMW forums.

Looks like he unfortunately packed a sad and rage quit, which is a shame because his threads were perfection porn 😥
-
I've done more thorough ones for different cars 😅
-
Not to be a "hater", but If you want a "loud" exhaust on a 320i, you probably have the wrong car, especially if its an auto.

Not to toot my own horn, but its a good car. Simple enough to work on that nothing is too scary, and no real common issues like the N series engines in the E46s. Its also fast enough to get out of its own way (and the way of traffic) but slow enough that it shouldn't end up wrapped around a pole. Corollas of a similar age will need similar servicing (bushings, cooling system etc), but BMW parts are generally a bit pricier than Corolla stuff and maybe not as simple to work on. The interiors on Corollas last a whole lot better too, with many 200,000km+ cars looking almost factory fresh (other than the stains on the seats)
