if its had water all though it and then left to sit, id be pretty worried about internal corrosion throughout the engine. Things like the cams mainly but even the bores could have suffered.
-
Or some people just pirate everything and it costs them nothing...
-
Trademe doesn't do sh*t if you get ripped off. They used to, but not anymore. It's no more secure than marketplace really.
-
Cold kills batteries; its the most profitable time of the year for battery suppliers for a reason.
-
Only just watched the two cranking ones and it sounds like its cranking far too slow.
-
Could you get one of those endoscope inspection cameras and poke it in the sensor hole and off to the side and see if the chain is still there?
-
Whats with the really gross looking seats? Poverty spec seats? It should have sport seats fitted.
-
Depending whats wrong with it, dont let them write it off if you dont want to. They might offer you a cash settlement if they cant fix it in a certain period of time, and you could look to fix it yourself.

Thats a myth. The only crashes a towbar helps against is touch parking and a light bump. At work we see heaps of vehicles that have been rear ended with towbars, and it usually ends up in damage to the rear floor, rear panel and rear frame rails since you are putting a ton of force through the bar, and parts of the car that werent designed to have the force there. The bars often get pushed up or down, as does anything the bar is attached to. Utes with towbars are great, they often end up bending the end of the chassis rails. Big $$$ to fix, which is good for us 😁

You bet it would be, on a Hyundai forum (if there is such a thing), and the consensus would be that it is still ugly AF no matter the brand.

Inb4 2.8 swap because cheap supercharger "build" blew the 2.0 up. The age old saying stands true; Fast, cheap or reliable. Pick two.
-
Huh, that must be "new" as remaking original Govt plates wasnt a thing a few years ago.
-
If you order a new set of govt plates you will get a new number (only personalized plates can be remade). Keep the old 2 letter plate, it's more in keeping with the age of the car.
-
Even carjam has it recorded down as Miles. I applaud the dealer for not just trying to pass it off as KM, but still a bit sketchy with the cluster saying KM.
-
I've got to ask, because im curious, what is wrong with it? It seems like a damn good price, is it rusty?
-
illegal placement too, the towball cannot obscure the number plate (had issues with that before). I love weird cars being used to do things like tow trailers, but not even im down with that.

Got it as a trade for a car i couldn't sell (niche market), thinking it would be easier to sell. It wasn't. Worst decision I've made in a long time.
-
Avoid like the plague, they're hateful things when they inevitably go wrong. Thankfully mine sold before i got more temped to set fire to it. Every trip in that car was anxiety inducing, waiting to hear that BLING of another fault popping up. It is a lot of car and a lot of tech for the money, but they are old now, and were unreliable when new.

All mercs look the same as they have for the past 5 or so years. It's safe and it's boring, but it's almost impossible for anyone to know you're driving the latest model, so big loss of status symbol points there.
-
Its ugly as sin, but TBH its better looking than most of their current lineup, like this abortion of a thing

Ive been pounding on a supercheap DA for years now (one of the green ones) and it still goes hard. Its done some pretty hard work. I did change the backing plate for a standard 5" one to use normal size Hexlogic pads, which was available on ebay. Not sure if they still use the bigger backing plate.

Welcome. They're a nice car to drive, especially in MSport package, a much more advanced and comfortable platform than a MK4 golf im sure. One thing to be wary of though, is the 4 cylinder engines in the 320i dont have a good reputation. Keep it well serviced, and always keep some money aside for if/when it goes wrong.

That black valve cover is looking real good. Should take the top of the intake manifold off and paint that to match too.
-
It says ALPINA on the intake and 3.4 on the fuel rail cover. Not sure what more you want, AliExpress alpina badges everywhere? Alpina cars are pretty subtle really.
