  1. Your talking to the wrong engineers or paying in the wrong currency. Guys at my work have worked 5+ hours on a weekend for a box of piss. If someone wants me to replicate a couple i'd be keen. (i'm not here to make money, although the beer fridge is quite empty) I've got access to cad software, profile cutters work across the road from my work, i've got a folder at work that will be fine with 3mm stainless and can weld it as well.
  2. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=887132489&ed=true Cheaper again
  3. Just get a jewelry ultrasonic cleaner. They aren't too pricey. I've got an arduino somewhere in my junk pile that was 75% ready to do flow testing. Gave up because it is much easier to just use a megasquirt I've got lying around
  4. The reason it clogs/ rusts shut your injectors is because ethanol is hygroscopic. So just like your brake fluid, it will absorb water. You can get e85 compatible parts for the fuel system. Everyone knows the benefits of e85 so i don't need to rant on too much To make the most of it you'll want an aftermarket ecu that will handle a flex fuel sensor. Some ecu's are a lot better than others in this area. e85 from the pump might not really be e85

  6. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=879838704 Hopefully this is a reasonable price
  7. what are these parts worth normally?
  8. I've also got some dobi front springs for an e36 $30 And rb26 throttle bodies $350 I'll have photos after the weekend.
  9. I've got a set that I'd let go for the right amount.
  10. I've got a few bits for sale if anyone is interested http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=870254072 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=870274863 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=870282796
  11. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/clutches/auction-862966278.htm or import off ebay
  12. Kayne Barrie would be the one to talk to. But if you don't mind secondhand info, he mentioned to me the synchros can't handle fast shifts. Eg don't put a short shifter on it and rev match.
  13. do you like to gamble? Have you stripped the thread in the block or on the bolt
  14. Who cares what it looks like
  15. Front control arm bushes. Get some m3 ones. There are eccentric and offset ones. Offset ones add more castor Rear shock mounts. Go for one of the hd upgrade versions Rear control arm bushes. Not sure which ones are good. I think that has all ready blown the budget
  16. I'd like to be the fist to say this seems like a bad idea. But I don't want to be too un-helpful so There are plenty of injectors out there that will be a direct swap. Some might need adapters to fit but still not a tough ask. To find a high flowing injector look for a high powered engine with not a lot of cylinders. Personally if i were you i'd go for some type of motorbike injectors. They're readily available and are usually(on better performing bikes) some of the nicest injectors around. They probably will need an adapter and a plug swap(just make sure you get high impedance injectors). There are plenty of fuel injector calculators. http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx Is this going to get a remap or aftermarket ecu? Is the car automatic? I would've thought the trickiest part would be guessing the pulley size needed for an unknown supercharger.

    E36 track car

Bummer. Also the panels and headlights are different. There are other different bits
  18. There is another in Hamilton as well but of the generic variety. Another option is an extendable radio antenna Polley is that the genuine tool or something custom made? Nicer than what i've got either way
  19. Very inspiring project. Must add cleco fasteners to my list of things to buy
  20. skip to 9:40 if you want the short version
  21. I think most of those options will be quite hard for that budget. Cert , clutch, tuning and custom fabrication really adds up. I'd go for the option that will have the car not running for the least amount of time. It sucks not being able to drive your car when your getting a bit sick of working on it.
  22. I've got one in Hamilton, pm me if keen
  23. Can you get that PDF again? I'll trade it for actual measurements of a m52b28 and an m54b30 cam
