I will be asking them to be very careful not to damage anything when they are working on it. And din’t let the apprentice near it ?. These are becoming classics so care is needed! Good point @M3AN. Privacy and confidentiality often do get confused and used interchangeably. Although I'm not completely sold on the 'confidentiality' aspect in this context. I like this summation of the two: We often use the terms "confidentiality" and"privacy" interchangeably in our everyday lives. ... On the other hand, privacy refers to the freedom from intrusion into one's personal matters, and personal information. While confidentiality is an ethical duty,privacy is a right rooted in common law. Trying to relate it back to the OP - if someone was seriously interested in this M3 then I would hope that they conduct due diligence that satisfies them. This may, or may not include comments and information made here. And lets all be honest here, most of us are not serious buyers, but would like to know all the 'dirty detail' on it ?. IMO $15k + $7-8k to sort and you have a pretty reasonably priced appreciating classic - there you go I said it ? (yes I have an ulterior motive haha)

Agree - and it is probably better than most new cars in 2020! I was thinking of heading over to have a look, it was a pretty good day last year. Bugger about the tints @TermiPeteNZ ?. I thought they were factory too. Pretty crazy that after many years of attaining WoF's it hasn't been an issue until now. I've used Window Magic a couple of times to do previous BMW's - Greg is very good at what he does (not just cos he's got a cool name haha). In fact, reminds me I need to book in to get mine done. Im in agreement with the above. Therefore when you include financing (regardless of which financing option people use) into the equation, and lets be honest, this is what most nzers use to purchase ‘major’ items, then price becomes irrelevant. Whether we like it or not what the dealer has done is not uncommon these days. And not just dealers as alluded to above. Therefore, we have a choice, either participate or not. I think most of us have chosen to ‘not’ In this instance ??

Oh bugger ?. This episode is well worth a watch. They convert the SMG to manual (as it is the same box). Very interesting how its done and probably a mod worth investigating if you have an E60 M5. Hint, hint @TermiPeteNZ & @Jun ?

Theres one in Porirua. Yup, Porirua ? I have seen it being driven on the motorway (once last year) and shortly after on display in the 'shop window' of the local vehicle certifiers (the one's who issue/regulate the industry I think). Pretty sure this one has the old 'black' plates too.

Not a bmw but this very rare example of a Plymouth Prowler at the hot rod show in Porirua today. Never thought i would ever see one in the flesh. It is packing a 5.7l Hemi under the hood too. I like. I soooo like!

What i reckon would be cool - keeping the 4.6 X5 and putting the 420g in it - now that would be super cool and rare ? In saying that I like what you’re doin and look forward to more updates!
