Apex 693 Report post Posted September 20, 2023 12 hours ago, balancerider said: Car is on Swiss plates, spotted at top of a mountain in Italy Italian alps are underrated driving roads IMHO, clearly even the Swiss are going there to drive. Where else can you bomb an entire pass without seeing a cyclist, or motorist! Lots of goats though. Nice spotting BTW, have only ever seen one in NZ and it was the less desirable Alpina model with the Auto.

This was near Lake Maggiore, largely narrow windy roads here but probably some better driving options further west on the France- Italy border. I see there were only about 5000 made and all LHD so guessing very few or none in NZ

Karter16 409 Report post Posted September 29, 2023 a boy-racer'd silver E90 on Quay St this evening. The burble and pop tune was so over the top that the car sounded like a truck jake braking every time he lifted off the gas 🤦♂️

leonf 162 Report post Posted October 11, 2023 Ahhh, the Phoenix Yellow e46 m3. Was the red headed step child of the BMW world for years. But was also the poster image that BMW used in their marketing material at the time of production. Certainly a polarising colour, but I've always loved it! (but not with a light coloured interior)

I must say that it’s now been demoted to number 2, with Laguna Seca blue in first place.

balancerider 764 Report post Posted October 21, 2023 (edited) No pics but the tanzanite blue M3 Touring at Continental BMW looks lovely. Also spotted a German plated estate on SH2 in full prototype camo - first two letters of plate were HN so speculating it might be the new Audi A4 B10 Avant Edited October 21, 2023 by balancerider
