Spark telecomunications who when I ring them to say I'm only getting 0.27mbps tell me that they are delivering 7.5mbps to my modem. After more descusion they say that the exchange is too old and is being overloaded by the ammount of users. I tell them I live in the country and theres no more users now than there was before. And that if all my 5 neighbours who run through that exchange were all using our internet at the same time I should still get a better download speed than 0.27mbps. Here comes the good bit. The mother F*&^&*% tells me that I shouldn't use my internet during thier peak hours. So anytime before 3pm and after 11pm is ok.. WHAT THE F*&K.

Talking to someone on another forum last night and he let me know that the other plants were building different models. One was building the 3 series and another the 5 series an so on. Dingolfing was the dedicated 7 series plant. Yayy Also worked out that the GG02 build code stands for RHD. GG01 is for LHD. Knowing that we were able to figure out how many facelift 750i's were actually built. GG01(LHD) DD9300-DD94557 GG02(RHD) DA6300-DA63112 Grand total of facelift 750i's was 1669. And as a side note I've been blacklisted from http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html for flooding...lmao

Ive never been able to work out what everyone is so anal about when a car gets written off and recomplied etc. Especially a car with such minimal looking damage. Would rather this one in a rebuilt state than some shitter that some muppet has owned for 2 years and wanks on about it having a JC sticker and a service history that stopped in 1999.

I know of a M20 525i 4 door in white here in wellington for $500 if you want it, owner wants it gone, its earmarked to come here if it doesnt sell, but i dont really want it unless i find a use for it I have driven it, nice car for what it is, over due for front suspension refresh and i would think the cam belt would be overdue or close most likely, but other than that seems like a good car. owner come into some money and now has a Jag. edit: hell you supply the parts id probably do the cam belt for you to get the guy off my back lol

accidentally back a tractor over your nearest exchange box. I bet they are seriously old DSLAM units. Chrous is on a referb program, well they were a year ago when I lived in wtgn. You will loose internet for awhile but then again what can you access now?

No aux pump on the three. I'd be looking for leaks first with a pressure tester

Not funktional. But this would be a nice peacocking car.

After looking for only a couple of weeks an E91 335i in Auckland took my fancy so I drove up for a look. Overall extremely tidy condition with a reasonably low 74,000 km on the clock and a two page long spec sheet. PPI Inspection came thru fine so deposit down and made arrangements for the transporter to get it down to the Bay ASAP. Its just arrived today (haven't laid eyes on it yet) but 5pm cannot come round fast enough! Here are a few dealers photos until I can snap some of my own.

Selling as don't need them. I bought them a couple of years back to put in my M52 but never went sown that road. Have been sitting around since. Sprayed them with CRC multiple times so there all good. Bought them for 400 and so selling them for 350. Pick up in AK or may arrange postage. Cheers

As M5VV8 said these are very old DSLAMs called Conklins. Users share the equivalent of a single ADSL connection's bandwidth so at peak times or basically when anyone else who is on that DSLAM is using the net, you have an unusable service. There's a rollout initiative by major vendors (mainly chorus of course) to have rural broadband upgraded within the next 10 years (started in 2013). Ten damn years for a usable service. :/

a mate of mine will have a nz new 1990 535is manual silver , grey leather sport seats lsd etc for sale at some stage soon , approx. $5k ?

they did... but without the ghastly sticker underneath the light off the back of a toyota carib or something. I used to have one for a little bit, E34s do handle well anyways for a 25 year old car, but the front wheels pulling the car round did help, very confident. spare touring specific parts are unobtanium here though cool M badge doe

Thanks to the dumb F*^k tard telco contractor that busted the SW connection pipes to the building and buried the damage. Flooding through out the building as the rain water had nowhere to go $$$$. Half my w/end up on roofs, chasing plumbers and cleaners who'd rather be at home with families and friends. Hats off to the tradies and cleaners that worked Sunday and Monday

The gauge doesn't move from normal, until the coolant on the sensor is HOT - it will show normal until at least 115C, probably 120C. Also, be aware that the gauge ONLY reads the temperature of the coolant it is in - if the coolant no longer touches the sender, it often just reads normalish. The sender is very low in the M54, so it's not too likely to happen, but the gauge climbing means things are getting HOT! The OBC in our E39 is set to gong for high coolant temp at 130C or 135C, so you don't really want to get that far. I'd stop driving it if it were mine. If you have coolant loss, you've got a leak somewhere probably, and the overheating and lack of heating in the cabin will probably be because of air - certainly the heater will be. You do NOT want to overheat an M54 badly, because you'll need a headgasket done, and that usually involves fitting timeserts to the block - which is REALLY difficult to do with the engine in the car on a 3 series, because the back holes are far enough back that the scuttle gets in the way of a straight drilling line. On an M54 powered E39, the easy way to bleed the air out, is to turn the ignition on but engine off, heater on highest temp, fan on lowest speed, top up the coolant, and bleed bubbles out the bleed screws - while keeping the level as close to correct as possible. I assume the 3 series has the same auxilliary coolant pump. This might help too: http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/47848-e39-obc-secret-menu-ktmp-coolant-temperature/?hl=%2Bsecret+%2Bobc+%2Bmenu

You could also try putting the last 7 digits of your vin into the real oem site, it should return a 4 digit production code.

I sold the 525i Manual. I only have the 530i manual with the M60b40 conversion, which will no doubt kick your "...not looking to spend too much" into next week.

How much is not too much? On these things, what you don't spend up front, better than average chances later you will be for maintenance, performance etc.

Such work is a must on anything thats 15 years old + let alone 25! A lot of certain people forget this is the kinda work you need to do on such older modern cars. Its not all fun 'n games simply spending ones cash on rims and exhausts Keep up the good work.

Been collecting this little lot for some time. A few things I forgot when I did the front suspension and complete rear overhaul. Wish I had the time to do it but I can live without pressing bushings, so letting the pros take care of it!!

Less than $500 including tips and shipping from eBay. I am hoping to get a set of used Ferrari 458 boxes once I determine whether they'll fit so mine will be up for grabs. I remember watching a vid of an E38 750i with the most amazing sound. Can't remember what setup they had but the M73 can really roar. If I can find the clip I'll post to your project page.

Nothing downside about 100kw N42 replaced by 250kw S54 as a comfortable/practical good looking sleeper. 70000km S54 @ SMG going into this along with CSL reflash. Will be for sale when finished.
