3 pointsAll back together. New Lemforder tie rods, boots, OE swaybar bushings, boot struts and cam sensors for good measure. Aligned to BMW spec for now but just about everything is back to being the job properly. Steering rack will probably be changed in future also as it has some wear on center.

2 pointsId say the only time you'd really see smoke is the the CCV completely fails. I figured the old ones were just clogged up or diaphragms were getting old\worn and maybe had slight leaks. Yeah rings are a very known weak point. If everything on the outside of engine is working you just live with it. If you drive at Autobahn speeds with a lot of engine braking you will certainly use more.

2 pointsOk here is my full list and [ VQ E46 ] actually featured !! Think I still like THE337 as it is the standard plate format so will look subtle. The other cheeky option would be one of the JDM surrounds which coincidentally you can get with '337' on it as thats the JDM designation for engines over 2 litres. Complete with Japanese characters, that ought to get some folks triggered hah. THE337 TORU37 VQ E46 VEEQ46 SOMEVQ MOVQ4U VQINME IHASVQ MYVQ37 337C1 337BMW VQ4ME V6BMW VVEL

2 pointsI used to use Edge. Gave it away. My M54 and N62 run smoother on Penrite HPR5, use less oil between changes, and when you buy on special in 20 litre containers it works out at about $8 and change per litre. Unbeatable for quality and value even at twice the price.

2 pointsUpdate; Solved this issue, removed lower dash trim, and steering column trim. I lubricated the steering guibo and the point where the steering column goes through the firewall with lithium grease (spray on) Tested this by going for a few drives withthe panels off, worked well and no noise, panels have been replaced - happy days

1 pointHi all, I'm selling my e39 as I want something smaller for around town as a daily driver. I purchased it when I was commuting regularly between Wellington and New Plymouth. I've done 40000km in the car in the last 4 years and it has been a great car to drive. In the time I have owned it I was replaced a few parts listed below new coils and plugs new cabin filters new crankcase ventilation breather new tyres, heaps of tread left new headlight lens (as one was badly chipped) new front shocks lower and upper front control arms rear bushings WOF expires 17/06/2022 Rego expires 12/06/2022 $2000 for bimmersport members Air con, cruise control, stereo etc all work well. On/Off knob on radio has stopped working however volume still works, probably a simple fix. 0272336690

1 pointIt's not that we are psychopathic, we are just better than all the peasants who couldn't afford their own Ultimate Driving Machine... Let's just ignore the fact a bunch of us probably won't be able to buy a house because we sink so much money into our former ultimate driving machines... not psychopathic at all π

1 pointWas it the genuine\OE replacement?, don't trust the diaphrams in the aftermarket ones. The few ive done on M52 and M54's reduced the oil consumption after replacement.
-
1 pointYou should also call Basil at Autopassion, who has done 3 of my cars including the N54. Top bloke, knows his stuff. See link below for your car and expected power gains. https://chiptuning.co.nz/cars-bmw Contact details on their website.

1 pointYou got it 337Ci ... I think its a nice touch of subtle that only those who know, will know. I want to get a plate also which will likewise look stock unless you're in the know. Just have to ensure I purchase before new registrations reach T hah.

1 pointI've ordered some also from AliExpress .... the boot letters that is π€£

1 pointA strip of coroflute riveted on to that lip would be my go-to, I guess it depends how huckery you want it to look, or not.
-
1 pointSeems good as in no real difference except a little less consumption vs Edge 5w30. I tend to change my oil every 5km anyway so get what ever appropriate synth is on special.
-
1 pointHi Sammo, yeah I haven't seen another one with that combination. If you are interested in selling the 330 manual let me know...my son might be interested? Cheers
-

1 pointSold to someone else unfortunately - so a sub 24hr sale - at least we know what a clean PFL 323i manual is worth - $17,500. I had an offer accepted but was based on including 15" weaves - they turned out to be 14" so renegotiated and it fell through - meh!
