Seems I can get one of these for free. https://www.mercedes-benz.co.nz/passengercars/being-an-owner/mercedes-me-adapter-campaign/stage.module.html Wonder how much info it will give me. Car is quite old so I don't think I will get much out of it.

Yup I just have my FCP car listed as a 2008 128i. Everything is the same bar the air filter. As for the D. Europe is your best option. I would go for the UK. So many 1 series D's.

My favorite hose. If that one has gone the next to go is the plastic fitting on the front of the motor. Get the upgraded alloy fitting with hose attached.

Yeah as long as the battery is coded correctly. Otherwise I think there is a Battery town down your way who might be able to match something better. They will no doubt be able to program it for you too.

Ha I just sold my Milwaukee Electric line trimmer I purchased nearly 1 year back. I was too cheap to buy the big batteries for it. Which in NZD are over $300 each. So I just used my drill batteries 10mins at a time. I sold it for $10 more than I purchased it for. $410. Went straight down to the Stihl shop and used that $410 to buy the best non commercial 2 stroke for the same price. Which is a far superior machine so far.

I do actually only use the Bimmergeeks pro tool.

Yup it is an absolute nightmare at the moment. Some of our competitors in the electronics hardware game are getting out of hardware full stop at the moment. Sourcing and shipping parts is a massive problem. Shipping is getting more expensive every week yet is less reliable.

Wow great price for one with a WOF and Reg. If the module is the issue I definitely recommend Pramod (Promo) above to take a look and fix the module. You do need to have the battery coded. Especially going into the colder months. Some battery shops are able to do this for you. May be worth having the battery tested at the same time as that voltage is too low. OBD2 tools can be very hit and miss. Many will not be able to code and require modification. Hopefully someone on here with the BMW ISTA software that is nearby could give you a hand. Or you could try install this software yourself. There are some great guides around. It is far more powerful than any of the apps around. But takes much more time and a laptop is required. ISTA is available free. Do not pay for it. https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/beginners-guide-to-bmw-ista.936877/ Download is available here. https://www.bimmergeeks.net/downloads

We just purchased a large covfefe machine for work. Unfortunately the poorly trained barista making my coffees is useless. I will get better I hope.
-
Yup. If its not in stock don't order it. There are so many delays. Especially with electronics. We having to order 12 months in advance for our electronics components at the moment.

I think I have one somewhere. Will have a dig. It actually did wedding duty a few times over the years. It's seen some Blenheim sun since. So time to refresh some bits and pieces. Mechanically she is sound and still hauls ass. I forgot about the active laser jammer in it. I'm not sure it is still working though.

My old man recently passed away. He has owned this E55 since near new. Previous owner was a friend of his. I decided I would buy it from the estate pending a go over. He always loved this car and we have spent many hours towing around both my previous E30 series car and the current dormant E34 race car over the years. I enjoyed driving it so I thought I would keep it in service. Probably not the smartest move with the price of petrol about to drive the cost of living to near Switzerland levels. So off on my Mercedes journey I go.

Yeah I'm not keen on them. Most are designed for a Karting seating position.
-
Any go-kart supplies shop. As they are for Karting. Not car racing. I hate that tracks are making people get these. But the alternative is expensive (Hans) or nothing at all.
-
I towed my old E30 series car with my E30 at the time. Was very sketchy.

Great news. Glad you get the option to have your car back or not. Lived in Torbay for 6 years before leaving Auckland. There are some real critters down the bottom there. Always police around there. Gang activity too. Not your typical Mongrel Power Bees types but definitely the drug peddling driving high end cars type.

If these new BMWs are reliable I'm calling that unfair on the classic BMW owners like us.
-
Yeah Colinfurze did it a while back. And a go-kart And because some of you are old, but still like speed.
-
Its just such a huge step away from what we all thought was BMW. Slap a Hyundai badge on it and it would never have been discussed here.

Anyone after a M5 V10 and 7 speed manual for a project?

Hmmm. I would like this. But some wreckers are paying stupid money for this stuff. -
It nearly always ends up not being perfect. Which will be why the pro's don't do it. A few of my old Nissans ended up having ripply guards when I went a bit to far. Good results took hours per guard and often burnt fingers from the heat gun. Most rollers you can buy are designed to only roll the edge up a little. Not flat. Flat requires panel beating and will nearly always crack the paint. You must have a good heat gun and roll in very small increments. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/tools-repair-kits/repair-kits/listing/3575928793?bof=c6jO98Ug Recently I became old and look back at these sort of issues and just nope out and buy something that fits.

Yeah filled the 130 today. Diesel was more expensive than petrol at Caltex over the road from the Waitomo I was at where it was 25c/l cheaper.
-
Yup. Challenge in Greytown yesterday. 46.31litres $113.41 $2.449/l Wairarapa is usually cheaper than Wellington. Greytown and Martinborough are priced to catch Wellingtonians and the cashed up boo..retirees. On another note. Has anyone been told off for stockpiling RUC at the discounted price yet?

Any radiator hose that has a plastic connector.... That is all of them. Especially the inlet on the front of the head. An upgrade is available via FCP.
