Definitely something vanos related. valvetronic shaft damage and the ecu cutting out the engine to prevent further damage or something.

I had considered this car due to the price point but eventually didnt go ahead because i wasnt too keen on the small engine for this model shape. i think the 2.5L is slightly underpowered for this car so the 528i is the better choice. 535i also very nice but much higher maintenance costs being the turbo n55 engine. -

i really wish they had 128i in NZ. that would be my pick. wonder how hard it is to convert the 3L N52 into an e82? that would also be awesome..

if it was the 17x8 et20 all 4 its an easy fit with 215/40/17 tyres. you could fit the same 215/40/17 tyres on the 17x9 rear to make it work but will be more stretched than the front. rolled guards is pretty much a must

not important but AFAIK the % for tints refers to VLT - visible light transmission which means it lets in 35% light. so if it is at twice the legal limit it must have 17.5 or more commonly 20% tints -

one of the cars I regretted selling was the 130i. its everything that the 3 series NA wasnt/couldnt be and more. its the spiritual successor to the old E46 330ci in my mind. It was way more enjoyable to drive than the N54 in the 135i and 335i because you can rev it all the way out to redline and not be going crazy speeds.
