  1. Family and friends, two people you never sell a car to. Shouldn't be hard to sell though.
  2. Out of all the forums I'm on I don't think there are many that are as abrasive and toxic as this one. It's no wonder we have such low new member signup and retention.
  3. Jesus, you'll argue about anything, won't you? Do what you gonna do OP. I'd be keen to see how well a leather repair kit works if you do try it.
  4. Buggered if I know, I don't need to buy one, hence the "probably" in my post.
  5. It looks really nice, and im a big fan of Boston Green, but those KM are certainly going to impact sale and re-sale in the future.
  6. Black leather is literally the most common interior in the e39. Can probably pick a base up in good shape from a wrecker or pick a park for minimal cost and almost no effort. Makes way more sense unless you're recolouring it for the sake of learning a new skill.

    E46 M3 Limp Mode

Sounds like they're applying the scattergun approach instead of diagnosing the issue properly. Are there any recommended indy workshops there that could have a look and pull codes? Its unlikely its going to be in limp mode without codes.

    E46 330ci Manual

Can you also get different thickness spring pads for the E46 like you could for the E36 to balance that lean?
  10. I wonder if that one in the OP is to do with it being re-registered and the data they harvest for the listing from motorweb or the likes? Its very unlikely any of that information on the listing was entered by the dealer themselves. Also why was it re-registered after such a short time?
  11. Didnt know that either. Its a shame it costs so much to turn a plate into another style, when it only costs something like $20 to remake plates if they are damaged.

    BMW vin checker

I'd happily pay a couple of dollars to do a VIN check. I'm amazed the service ran for free as long as it did, it can't be free to get that information from bmw databases?
  13. I wish slim didn't have the black fern on one side. It looks unbalanced.
  14. Low fluid wouldn't be helping anything. I wonder how long it was since that last change? I thought they were ZF boxes on these? Good to hear it sounds like it wasnt terminal though!
  15. Sounded like a six. Quite subtle actually.
  16. Spotted a stunning purple E30 wagon with an intercooler in Masterton today. Cant be many of those around.
  17. Physically yes, but let's not confuse the matter with electrics, certs etc.
  18. I've used the repco one before with no issue, and its a very common tool to use. Also have a pair of forks, but dont think i have ever managed to pop a joint with them, all it does it make a mess. If you can afford it and/or intend on popping joints a lot, I picked this up recently to split a joint on the Mini that nothing else would crack and the biggest one in the kit worked perfect. It basically has every option. https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/toolpro-toolpro-ball-joint-separator-kit-5-piece/543412.html#q=ball%2Bjoint&lang=en_NZ&start=24
  19. I didn't think the question of reliability was the block/head, it's everything else attached to it that fails.

    Loss of power

Agreed. Its interesting to note that there are a few NZDM cars still being sold that spec 91 and are obviously crippled to run on it. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a prime example. 10:1 CR, 1.5L turbo, specced for 91. According to Wiki our ones are 11hp down on the rest of the world.
  21. Lol, if you didn't want to win why were you even pushing the bidding up? I'll give you credit for actually completing the sale though. Looks nice, good choice of wheels.
  22. Weird, I didn't realise the grilles are fake on those?
  23. Thats a bloody steal for a 330ci clubsport. Good luck, hope it goes to someone that brings it back to its glory.

    Manual E24

Carjam says It had the plate SIX33 from 94 to 14 and then replaced with this plate.
