Does the bar clear at ride hight and only hits it at full droop? If thats the case why not just leave it and move on, the only time you're going to be full droop is on a hoist/stands.

They're a niche insurer, not your average insurer for your daily driver. If your car isn't your baby and garaged, Classic Cover probably isnt for you. If you're street parking your Maserati, you're braver than I. Its also not a ZERO cover, its a "may not be" covered if it isnt "suitably garaged and secured".

My tvr is with these guys, as was the M328i and they are so easy to deal with. They didn't even care the m328 wasn't certified lol.

I always remove my wheels and take just the wheels in for them to fit new tyres to. Hasn't been an issue and means I can refit to the car myself. Interesting you say that. Had some triangles on my dc2r years ago and they were the scariest tyres ever. Would break grip without warning in the dry and kinda hopped and skipped on corners. Hopefully they went back to the drawing board in the years since.

It's OK, the car will already be in the workshop when service is due by time, so they can do it at the same time.

Totally missed that in the first post, lol. Derp.

The intervals on my Mini are insane. I reset it after a service and now its counting down from 25,000km!

Have a read through this thread. https://oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/58949-welder-buying-spam/ If anyone knows a good welder, it's a forum of guys that have no option but to keep metal gluing their cars together.

It only feels that way because half throttle is 50%, not whatever the car fees like between 5% and 90% ? thats what I hated about mine when I got it before linear throttle, is there was no real way to predict what the throttle was going to do, and it was usually too much. I guess the higher the state of tune/power the more compounded that effect was too.

Awesome, finally an owner that deserves it. Look forward to seeing more of it.

Christ, I can see why you want to flick the M3 off! Very nice.

Ive gotta ask, but why would you buy that f**k ugly thing over an E91 wagon or the likes?

They're not Pokemon, cmon man ?

Bugger saddle road, that thing is a disaster of a road. The only good thing is the wind farm at the top, otherwise its horrible road surfaces mixed with heavy, slow, traffic.

Its insane how much the market has moved. I struggled hard to sell it for $13k when I sold it. With all the work done it certainly increases the value, and its a very good example now, but the KM will be the ultimate deciding factor as it must be up near 250k now?

So many tail pipes. Also LOL at [ SHOE ], What a great plate for it.

Thats a nice car, and well looked after. Well done.

I really liked mine. It was comfy, handled well and the engine was lovely. Shame the electrics were flaky and the floors were rusting quicker than anyone could fix them. A gta would be worth owning, but I wouldn't bother with the normal models.

I keep getting loads of 503 errors recently. Makes it almost not worth trying to come here.

GM transmission adventures - sharing the experience

They generally have a tube that runs inside the radiator tank to heat/cool the trans fluid. This is common for failing and mixing fluids. In the case of the 130i it appears they have a heat exchanger mounted to the radiator and acts as its own little radiator with coolant and trans fluid flowing through it. I guess the internals of this heat exchanger must have failed. -
Having driven both, the MK5 R32 is a more special car to drive than a 130i. The sound, the DSG and the darty awd handling combine to make them great fun to drive. Its still one car that is on my list of "have driven but not owned, but want to", except now they are getting so sold that I couldnt own one due to the risky nature of DSG. The VW manual boxes around that age are a bit rubbish. I would own a mk4 R32 though with the manual box. The interiors are sh*t, but there is something about them.

Wow, and the golf r32 is the pimp spec fancy model. Crazy the 130i was so much more expensive.

Yeah it was the most common culprit I came across when trying to sort the idle issue with my S50b30 (though mine didn't have o2 sensors). Be worth checking

You might be missing the point of the rally bred GR Yaris if you think the Megane is better... It's a scrappy little point and shoot rocket, not a track slayer. Megane has 10 more kw, and 30 more nm from an extra cylinder and 0.2l, but weighs 100+kg more than the Yaris. Also not awd like the Yaris. The Yaris does 0-60 quicker than a Megane.
