A new type of E36 😂
-
No Xenons was very common with NZ new cars of this era - even otherwise nicely specced LCI E9x 330i / 335d missed out on them. Dad says it's the only thing he doesn't like about his E91 320d...
-
Agree chunky rear arches improve it quite a bit. I love the idea of an M3 Touring but an M340i is certainly better to look at from the front.
-
I don't think I've ever seen a car (not SUV) where 19's look totally under-wheeled / lost in the arches before
-
FRM definitely needs to be coded to VIN. However I’m not sure that the non functional PDC is related. @promo is your man
-
Looks great @BozzaFC - feel like a manual conversion would make this even better?
-
Looking at the other cars they have for sale, there seem to be a lot of stat writeoffs from Australia. The 225i they have for sale doesn't look to have been well repaired (bonnet shutlines are dreadful). So caveat emptor maybe...
-
I think it probably needs an intervention from M539 Restorations on YT!
-
The 20’s are a noticeable step up again in cost from 19’s if you want reputable brands. Budget 2.5-3k / set
-
No idea about the dealer. Saw that one at thought it looked nice though (but needs rid of the E46 wheels)
-
Yeah UK market m-sport f3x got LED as standard from early 2016. big engine / big wheels and no other boxes ticked seemed to be the idea with these UK cars, took about 9 months to find one in the spec I wanted.
-
@leonfnot too many of those in wagon format floating around though?
-
These are both pretty expensive IMO - I paid just under $55k landed for mine (2016) at end of 2017 with 16000k.
-
Yep no F3x 335d imported by BMW NZ (330d xDrive only). Spec is a bit 💩 on the black one - halogen lights on a 43k GBP car can piss off. They tend to make the stated power (230kw / 630NM) at the wheels, stage 1 remap to 390-400whp. Plenty quick enough stock though. I think this is a better example if you can live with white https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2984295055?bof=uxR0EXXK I think I'd pay the extra and get this though: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2995847661?bof=2bTcMn4b

A white LCI 335i E91 Touring (no plates) on the back of a transporter southbound on SH1 near J'ville...going to someone in Welly? (or more likely broken! 😂)
-
Looks very nice! GLWS

@aja540i how is it mechanically now? would guess an old diesel might benefit from an italian tune up...
-
@KwS - on Blacklion tires no less, an auspicious start...
-
@Wouldliketolearn generalisations about cars based on origin are unhelpful IMO, buy on condition... The old line about all UK cars being rusty, Singapore cars humidity damaged (as though the southern half of Japan isn't just as humid). I'd probably steer clear of Aussie imports in the main because all we seem to get is their stat writeoffs!
-
M-Pars + V8 + Europlate = 🥰
-
My sense is the diesel torque suits the trucks better than the N55 (they're not sporty) - but 3-5k pays for a lot of extra gas...
-
Same N57 engine as the 40d F15 - check the oil service intervals on these (30k km / 2 years isn't ideal IMO)
-
I guess I shouldn’t expect better from a main dealer but failed warrant on wipers that were <1 year old and perfectly functional so they could sell me a new pair 🙄
-
I'm gonna go have a look I think

@SmithyInWelly Back again at $1 reserve https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2983614124?bof=waiSNWFg
