3 pointsHad the same thing over a long weekend... so do what I did... Told hem if they weren't here within 24 hours then they could pick up their decoder from the skip outside my house... Bloke turned up three days later and pulled the decoder out of the skip and left!

2 pointsBeen a while since I updated. Have now expanded into other areas and I can also now do the following: E46 LCM firmware reflash - update from CI35 to CI36 or CI37 - these give extra functions to the light controls - most notable the triple blink feature. I also own brand new units of CI36 and CI37, meaning I can flash these into brand new units ready for coding with any cars. Of course not entirely necessary to turn these into brand new units, but helpful as CI36 and CI37 firmware locks out odometer and VIN number tampering. Also in the works at the moment is the infamous E38/39 727 airbag module - I can now flash these modules also and fix the dreaded 240 internal ecu error (under testing, awaiting confirmation that these repairs are software related).

1 pointExactly as I thought. There isn't a lot of space in there. Don't know where my noise is coming from, can only assume it would be like yours. There wasn't a lot of it to begin with really. I'm quite happy to forego that madness for the sake of a little [healthy] rattle.

1 pointWow what timewasters I have had tonight. I never tell people that I am a mechanic and quite a pedantic one at that when I sell a car but the bullshit they come up with to try and lowball is hillarious. Haha
-
1 pointWow, that was quick. But I could see why. It was stunning. Not a E30 guy but even I felt a twinge of WANT.

1 pointYour use of the workshop space would also compromise Insurance, public liability, personal liability and OSH for that business

1 pointSure are, e46 m3 rotors, e46 330i front calipers, M3 pads. Was previously running pads and rotors from e46 330i. Still running e46 328i rear rotors/caliper/pads to keep the brake bias right.

1 pointWhich is why it saddens me that new drivers now are just taught to mash the middle peddle and rely on ABS... modulation is no longer taught. Driving standards are falling because we're apparently no longer teaching how to drive under all circumstances (if we ever were). My friend's daughter's driving instructor insisted she left the traction control on during every lesson. In a 120 hp car... :-/

1 pointNo, I can't sorry. Something along the lines of 'you're wasting bait on a hooked fish'... But I do know that for almost all large companies the retention team is reactive and under-resourced and the acquisition team is proactive and highly incentivised.

1 pointAudio System Source / Control Going for Netbook rather than building in carpc , Andriod device, Tablet / Ipad Thinking behind this has come down to open source software that will communicate with BMW ibus system and easy to add 1 TB+ of disk as media collection grows. Easier to run windows derived software at this stage. Netbooks also have lower power consumption and you can manage the startup / sleep modes easier with having in built battery rather than timers and relays. Source Acer Netbook , Atom Procosser, 250 gig drive (will change to 750 gig when full) , wifi , 3g data via USB vodem Windows 7 & Winamp for audio playback Riderunner software with skin by "Reborn" http://www.mp3car.com/rr-released-skins/13...-5-17-12-a.html Isus USB Blu Ray player Jaycar VGA to Video Converter Bluetooth 2.1 (100 meter standard) dongle and bluetooth Keyboard Rolf Resler IBUS to USB adaptor and driver software ( http://reslers.de/ ) 7 port USB Hub 12 Volt 40w netbook power supply Will add freeview USB Tuner at later date (Looking to do BMW diversity Aerial intergration)
